  1. I'd say it was a candidate for a veteran.epicormic is beneficial for the tree obviously, but spiking is good for habitat!
  2. Guys from my experience spiking a tree can lead to it producing epicormic which in veteran tree work is specified todo so now and again the same with scribbing, obviously it's not great in the long run but its also perfect for habitat! This tree will be a character that will live another day rather than felled!
  3. Yes dan please try and make it. Be good to see ya
  4. Ah I see I think every tree should be left but I understand once they are managed you need to carry on managing them. What would you do on the hornbeams, selective poll thin?
  5. Jaime do you write books? Your explanations are brilliant!

  8. That layer on the ash is wicked and the Phoenix growth looks like its doing well. Some great pictures👍
  9. All depends on the species but that chestnut will be fine, I'd rather see a tree hacked than felled for no reason, but at least that tree will remain to creat habitat.

  18. Cheers for the info, just using mine as a lanyard but if I need to use it as a second line il just choke round a stem and use it srt as a support. The art posistioner I found wasn't smooth enough
  19. What is the reason for you using dynamic rope? I love how smooth the cinch is using it srt as a second line. That handle is a right little treat.
