  1. I'd say the lesson to learn is charge for your time, I do. If a client wants TPO applications etc then charge a fee, payable immediately and knock it off tree work bill if they go with you - simples. That way you don't lose out on your time. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Lol we could have dropped 2 loads off at your place yesterday whilst working in Ingatestone, would've saved going back to our yard. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. We've got a petrol powered capstan winch which is easy to carry and anchor to a tree then choker the butts and winch with little effort. Great piece of kit, you can get a nose cone which stops the butts digging in the ground to. On a job like yours be well worth a look. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Swamp Loggers starts tonight on Freeview Quest channel 38 @ 9.00pm. 1 of 14 shows. I know it's been doing the rounds on Sky etc but first time on Quest tonight - worth a watch. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Yeah we load with telehandler and grain shovel, takes about 15 mins to load 28 ton artic. Has anybody had any success with Boomeco Biomas? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. That's kind of you thanks but our chip is mixed chip and leaf, if it were just clean chip I could offload to local Biomas boilers which I think we may have to consider separating where possible for future. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Got 56 tons of Woodchip due for collection tomorrow and our friends at Stobarts now tell me the price has been slashed to £3 per ton! Over a barrel springs to mind! I tried Boomeco Biomas about a month ago but they didn't return my calls then answered email with lost my number and would be in touch - but never heard back. Is there anyone else in the market place other than the above pirates? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. 😃 Ooops! I'm still able to offer airspade services to local yocals Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. If the job is local to us in Essex we can offer airspade work but not for about 3-4 weeks. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Dean, Tried your private message but says your storage is full, you need to delete some messages to make way for new. Ive tried to search for trackers but no joy can you forward links to take me straight to the info? Cheers Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Well, what can I say. On first impressions the Bandit 75xp looks agricultural, bits bolted on here and there but on closer inspection this machine is built to do the job not perform at a fashion parade. We had an assorted mix of brash including oak; ash; privet; laurel; plum & conifer. The wide hopper allowed good access for large bundles of brash and once the roller bit it was on its way, not the fastest speed but nevertheless it took the bundles without even using the no stress. Put a few bigger sticks through and as expected not problem there. The chip produced is surprisingly fine. My only concern was the shoot flap isn't long enough for our truck but dean happy to supply an extended flap. The electric cables for the two kill switches are exposed which could lead to them being caught and ripped out. All in all a good solid well built machine 👍 Another demo tomorrow with Timberwolf 190 turbo. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Bandit 75xp on demo tomorrow so see what goodies that brings to the party. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Adding Bandit 75xp to the demo list anybody got any comments to add on this machine - good or bad? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. What do you think of the in feed hopper on the Forst machine? My thoughts were its a bit narrow. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Some interesting comments so far, appreciate your time taken to provide feedback. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. I've got the TW190 on demo next week and if Matthew at Redwood is willing a demo with 540DI shortly after - then decision time! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Considering a Jensen 540DI wheeled chipper - looking for good, bad & ugly feedback? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Doesn't the machine come with a bar that enables the top roller to be lifted easily to allow material to be pulled out of the hopper rollers. We had one on demo chipping oak and it was impressive. However, my concern is the narrow hopper presumably designed for the tracked machine so it can be taken off to access pedestrian gates. I've suggested a larger optional hopper for the wheeled version, perhaps use the hopper from their 8" Forst machine which isn't in production yet but could be adapted for both machines. The build quality looks good similar to my schliesing with good power and decent blades. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. How you getting on with your new TR6? Do you find the in feed hopper a little narrow? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Got a 2008 schliesing 440 ZX PTO chipper for sale - inbox for further info. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Only because Forst haven't developed their 8" machine - in the pipeline will be another 18 months. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Thanks for info that is helpful to know. Iam interested in the Forst machine and would consider bandit but rep not around seems to be away either on holiday or in US. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. I'm looking at a Forst machine but would prefer an 8-9" machine instead of 6" apparently they have bigger machine in pipeline but won't be available for another 18 months. So, need to decide on Timberwolf 190 turbo or Forst 6" towable? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Just done pretty much the same to mine. One thing I was keen to avoid was material getting caught during tipping operation so I've put inner and outer ali skin on tipping body, works fine. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. That's a really useful contribution. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
