  12. There's Teak Protector and Teak Oil. Protector is about £25 a litre and supposed to be better than oil in retaining the honey colour.

  14. Due to increased stock of timber from last winters storm damage we are looking at ways of increasing log production. Any recommendations for log splitters that'll cope well with large ringed timber some gnarly eucalyptus etc. ideally capable of splitting 12" x 24" diameter rings? We have vertical 10 ton petrol (Fuelwood) splitter plus tractor hydraulic (Browns) guillotine cordwood splitter.

  21. So what would you charge to come to Essex for a couple of days work? My log mountain needs splitting - 10-12" log length. I reckon at your day rates you could work your way here and back no problem.

  23. £180 a day! Including your labour, travel to and from your local, fuel for the machine, depreciation on a machine worth several thousand - that's too cheap surely?
  24. It would be great to see a few vids of you in action splitting rings etc (that doesn't sound right at all but you know what I mean). What size rings can your machine process ie diameter and depth? Does it struggle with stuff like eucalyptus?
