  2. Cheers for the advice guys, I have no idea what kind of oil it is, only that it was in a heating oil tank, its not red which surprised me. Was free so the price was right

  4. Evening all Managed to get a load of heating oil for free, or what I assume is, its not red, can I run this in my chipper (TW150)? I've tried a google search and most internet people seem to think its the same stuff as diesel but I wondered if any one on here had any experiences James x
  5. Personally I use the shortest rope I can get away with, I hate havin to pull miles of loose rope around and getting coils of rope berried in brash. Even if sometimes you have to jump out the tree for last few feet. Just don't forget to use a stopper knot x

  13. Use a B&Q plastic box works great keeps it seperate from all the saws etc in the van

  15. I get hustled by customers, it makes me cry and some of the sweat i've poured for jobs that have cost me money. But on monday I priced a job to climb dismantle at a long day and take a stump out, there was a bored digger driver on site who helped us with a stunt fell and dug the stump out and even scraped up the rakings, home by lunch including lots tea. Its swings and roundabouts

  18. On second thoughts the seats in the back are great for chucking tools in as you dont need to worry about messing up the seats but I would't want to use it for moving nippers

If someone just made a list that answered vital questions which was always on the home page we could cut down on many repeat new threads The best rope is - The yellow one Best Van - Transit Best 4x4 - Range Rover Best Tractor - Red ones Best Saw - Orange ones Best boots - the ones which feel nice when you put your foot in them etc etc Then we could spend more time looking at cool tree pics, really big machine and discuss interesting tree dilemmas, which is what we really want
