  1. Andy is yours the Vario and is the enjun turbo charged, whas it like when maxed out on max sized sticks?
  2. @Jase hutch @Pete B and anyone else with knowledge. I think there is an adjustment which i believe slows down or speeds up the infeed rollers depending on the size of the material being chipped but is there any adjustments that improve the ability to crush / break forked branches and make it more aggressive on dense conifer as it does struggle and i have to constantly reverse the feed rollers when the going gets a little tough? Would increasing the tension on the horizontal feed roller spring improve things? The Machine is 1 year old with 150 hours on it. Thanks for the help thus far.
  3. Great advice tanks. Andrew Symons in Crediton had the remaining piece out easily enough. There was only 3 or 4mm of broken bolt remaining in the captive nut so we guess the bolt must have loosened off, backed out until the fan came into contact with the Allen head and snapped it hence the noise. An easy enough fix.
  4. Thanks Jase, I got the pulley and fan off and the offending bolt had snapped in two so i'll need to look getting the other end extracted as i'd rather let them do it plus it's still under warranty.
  5. It started making a noise last ting on Friday. I traced it to a lose bolt behind the fan. I have removed the 2 grub screws on the pulley, is it now just a case of attaching a 3 legged puller to force the pulley off the shaft?
  6. looks home brewed.
  7. very nice muff mod.
  8. mine are flaccid and require viagra!
  9. they bow when ya use more than about 5 clicked together. Most i have had on is 12/13 but they were supported by resting on limbs as they went up which help greatly.
  10. Thinking of buying a new set of AUS pruning rods. I see on their website there is standard rods and there is 'rail rods' which are apparently a bit heavier and probably less likely to bend/flex when you have say more than 8 on at a time. Anyone tried these heavier ones, if so what did ya think of them versus the stock rods? K
  11. well i managed to affix a small krab to my Echo CS2511 as i hi clip up point, it worked very well. will get some pics fer ya.

  14. gotta love 'a dagenham dustbin', as Bob says they are cheap to fix and easy enuf to work on. Reckon i'm gonna pull the injectors on my MK6 soon and have them tested / replaced as it's a bit lame atm.
  15. yerra gas man Marcus, them pics are both interesting and funny.
  16. i always got the impression the Rangers up to 2006 were the better ones to own as a few folks around here have 2009, 2010/11 2.5 models and head gaskets appear to be a problem. I think the 3.0 is the one to avoid too.
  17. It's the Isuzu Troopers that had the (sometimes but not always) troublesome 3.0 TDI engine from 1998 till the end of production/sales in about 2005. As the Op is looking for a pickup then they need not concern themselves with the worries associated surrounding that sometimes dodgy Isuzu (it is actually a Caterpillar power plant!) engine as it was never fitted to the pickups. The low tech bomb proof older Isuzu pickups (2.5, 2.8 or 3.1) that were available up to 2003 are now very hard to come by, i 'lucked out' last December and found a perfect one for good money that will give me years of service (fingers crossed) and will legally tow 2700kg. The later Isuzu Rodeo pickups available from 2003-2012 are available with either a 2.5 or a 3.0 TDI motor, most of them can legally tow 3000kgs and are in my opinion a good used buy if you can find one that is not too rusty underneath. I personally think Hilux's are awesome but physically a bit on the small side and generally under powered and gutless whether they be n/a or turbo charged and they are too feckin' expensive compared to the competition. If ya were after a cheap 4x4 truck that didn't have to be a pickup i'd look at a Vauxhall Frontera. Lettuce snow how ya get on.
  18. sounds like doo doo to me. You sure it is not a 560xp? Look at the black serial number plate and it shud state the year it was made.
  19. i wonder if the chain has jumped off the drive sprocket?
  20. good idea regarding a secondary kill switch where it is easy to see it / easy to reach it. I was impressed at your 'word inclusion' at 4.07 !
  21. now that looked bad Minkey, how'd ya get it out?
  22. got any actual pics of the machine in question? had it any distinctive markings, dents etc? couple of weeks ago i spotted a plea regarding a stolen Ford Anglia in Exeter on Facebook. Keyboards in the west country went 'white hot' with activity as it got shared all over the place. Someone spotted said stolen classic car on the back of a car transport trailer being towed by a white van, then it was spotted by someone else, so on and so forth. Van and trailer seemed to be taking a convoluted route via B roads to get onto the A303 which made some of us think the thieves were tipped off about the attention they were receiving on social media and they were trying to 'shake off unwanted attention'. Next thing it was spotted on the A303 being pulled over by Avon and Somerset's finest, then my phone rang as my mate drove by and spotted the 'hard stop' as it was taking place in a layby. car was returned to it's rightful owner. Social media can be used to good effect sometimes.
