Just been to look at this Beech,it has what i believe to be pholiota,its quite nasty is it not?trying to work out whats for the best given close proximity of targets? i will of course be removing gravel and terran whatever happens! and is the last photo merripilus?tree over hanging hv lines and garden. thanks

  7. Got a whopper of a dying beech to fell,all sorts of fungus all over it,am i correct ib thinking its more likely to be spalted because of this? If so does any one require any?if not it ll go for firewood. Its near Taunton.will get some pictures tommorrow.

  17. doing a job next week clearfelling Larch n DF for replanting, Im quite keen on leaving a couple of poles in for birds of prey,does it make any difference what height they are? should i leave em at varying heights?cheers

  22. did a job for a traveller mate today,on site at 9,bang top out of scots pine,leave site at 10, £100 cash in my pocket.happy days!! wish every day was that easy!!

  24. nice job by stream,had to do a high pollard on twin stem ash,felling,thinning and first outing for grab!!
