  4. very good point stump grinder, its true any idiot can knock over a small tree,cowboys/chancers dont like the big stuff IMO,they try it once,balls up massivley then leave it to us the next time!Im sure in time we will get regulated,but personally im very happy with the status quo we have at the minute

  6. nfu for 4x4,600 a year, business etc,dont think that particulary cheap as im 34 with full no claims. with Trust for timber lorry,stupid cheap,260 a year!!will def change 4x4 to them when due
  7. got piston n pot for 441 from mister solutions for 60 quid,no probs,50 ltrs later

  9. i never started this thread to run down new arbs,purely to get an idea how many are coming into the industry every year
  10. dime bag,as others have said, this industry is completely overrun with climbers/cutters,and every day the available work gets less,within 10miles of me there are probably 20 firms goin out every day cutting, we are running out of trees,please heed advice,rope access where its at for a sustainable career
  11. does anyone have a rough idea how many new cutters are getting churned out of college every year? where are they all gonna go?

  19. had a dunk in the sink,(missus well impressed!!),brown spores,happy days,cheers all for help
  20. get a set of hi flex trousers and jacket,they never ever ever get torn by anything!!!

  22. is it a naughty vicious fungus? the tree its on is a 80 footer and leaning about 15 degrees.
  23. pretty much at base,growing just below very old wound,had a quick poke for bootlaces but none evident,thought it might be pholiota bet stems look a bit long??
  24. found today on huge leaning Beech,client unconcerned,im worried!!cheers
  25. Beech from today,riddled with Ganoderma australe i think,felled to prevent damage to other trees,was gonna monolith but time was not on our side today
