    7 30 start,like to be done by 2 on my own jobs. 4 30 latest if subbing (unless end of job is very close)

  11. drove past some road workers on the M5 on fri afternoon,full hi viz,hard hats,dust,exhaust etc,car saying it was 30 dgrees,think we got it easy compared to them!must be hideous

    i think those jobs offered by ctc sound bloody good for someone who wnts/needs job security,sometimes when things are slow a job on the books with holiday,sick pay and zero overheads looks very very appealing!

  17. managed to get done by 1 so missed worst of heat thankfully! Customer had all chip so didnt tip at yours,cheers though,gave him your number for possible grinding.
  18. SiW,i ve had a pretty slow month and suddenly today loads of work has just fallen on me,always seems just as you hit bottom you get shot straight back up! I really hope the same applies for you

  22. about 50/50 between personal use and sales, as you say,tree work is a much better way to make a living,would much rather be climbing than splitting!
  23. i see your point but for me its good 'rainy day' work,spare hour here or there,cut and split a cube or two. We have two woodburners as primary heating, so have to do it anyway
