  3. Just fitted a new coil to my km56, when I pull it over it pops and backfires back out of the carb, won't run, ther is a spark, any ideas where I've gone wrong?
  4. 6'6" 15 stone
  5. Don't like 404, seems slow to me
  6. True, but the lovely tax bill goes hand in hand with the lovely profit! There's no perfect way to earn a living, but tree work s pretty bloody good in the grand scheme of things
  7. I had a whale of a time in the late 90s, not much of it work related though!
  8. Yes mate, doing tree survey and a few reductions,
  9. I can't wait to see the comments on this thread Jon!
  10. Another hangover so far, will I never learn?
  11. Laurels. Bashed. Out with the new 201 today, fantastic saw!
  12. Bridgwater mowers, it was £570'ish with the vat, bought a couple of other saws with it so not sure until invoice turns up. If you want to have a go on mine give me a bell on 07798718536, in Kingston St Mary today if that's anywhere near you.
  13. I bought a 201 m tronic today, had a go with it on the woodpile, really really gutsy, a world away from the older ones.
  14. £600 is the gross of the job, you pay matey his 120, any other costs for the job take off and your left with profit, that's what you pay tax on
  15. Bowline, life would be a lot harder without it!
  16. I've got a load of 357/362/372 plastic bits knocking about if anyone wants em, will try n get a photo, or pm me
  17. In ideal world yes, but these shows probably cost a lot to put on and the organisers have to recoup that, if it's wet and the fields get trashed small events / shows can quickly lose a huge amount reinstating them. It's really none of our business tbh, ( not having a go at you Jon )
  18. The nightingale s have just started up in the woods at end of our garden, woke me up at 3 am! Noisy little buggers, nice though. A month later than usual for some reason
  19. That's the problem, loads of fresh faced lads love these sort of jobs and price low to win it so they can brag about the monster tree they took down, these sort of jobs are kit/body intensive, I'm much happier doing them if I've priced a nice margin on it, nothing worse than under pricing a big un, every time another liter of petrol goes in the 395 it really hurts!
  20. That said I still enjoy a big reduction, just not the removals
  21. TBH the glorys gone from big trees for me, if I haven't done one for a while it seems quite exciting for the first half hour, but once I start chogging with a big saw, mouth and trousers full of saw dust, aching knees and getting irritated with the people on the ground the novelty soon wears off! Can make the same money poncing about with the little stuff IME
  22. I'm ok with that Jon, when shall we do it?
  23. I'd go 950, rig all the brash, get a load of bales/tyres on the monoblock, flop the butt over get JON to come and PICK UP OFF SITE MATE, jobs a good un
  24. That a self portrait?
