  1. You bend it, you mend it in my eyes. Was the job subbed out, or were you getting freelance labour in to help?
  2. Here in good ol' Blighty the government have driven fear into people, and its backfired. They are telling people to get back to work, send your kids back to school. Listening to the callers on the wireless today it ain't going to happen. Look before you leap springs to mind.
  3. Got it this morning off some old cow down the village shop... you can't go in there without a ?, my reply, I'm not in the shop yet, mind your own business. She mooched off muttering to herself.
  4. No, I heard about it and stayed away. Shame Stone is a cracking town. Not surprising the virus is spreading though.
  5. Yes, being dead is a bonus before the government start nicking our body parts.
  6. Them Derbyshire lads...
  7. Am I the only one that doesn't know what this means?
  8. You missed the 'All work guaranteed', Matty.
  9. Looking good, Gary.
  10. No, when one of my longest standing mates was on his death bed I'd have told the 'hospital' anything they wanted to hear to get in there. Don't like it?, that's your choice. I wasn't blaming anyone, telling it how it was more like. We didn't have face coverings, neither did the NHS staff. We could blame each other for spreading Covid-19 but I WAS going to see my mate.
  11. I've just been away around the Staffordshire/Derbyshire Moorlands, virtually no one wearing a face covering in those areas. Stoke, Liverpool, Manchester City centres most everyone is wearing a covering. Back to Suffolk today after looking in on two jobs in Cambridgeshire, next to no folk wearing a face covering. Strange times.
  12. That's really sad news. Al was a really nice bloke. RIP.
  13. That's right, we chucked the ladders back on the truck, hitched the roller up and went to the pub iirc.
  14. There was no beating me back in the day mate, I moved about quicker than a monkey.
  15. I'd never guess who the last bit was aimed at, from you, Bolam?
  16. The PRC are a brutally wicked bunch, they made it legal to organ harvest back in the 1980's. I've read that the regime force people to consent to having their organs harvested. 'We' want cheap so we turn a blind eye.
  17. PRC, that's got to be the biggest lie ever. Look at what they are doing to the Uighurs, rounding them up in concentration camps, harvesting their body parts, it was only a few weeks ago 13 tons of human hair (for wig making) was seized on its way to the USA. The Donald put sanctions on the nasty barstewards because he can put pressure on them. They look at us for what we are... A tiny little island in the middle of the drink. While we all still want cheap PRC will thrive, time for a rethink, I can't see it happening mind.
  18. Not at all, there was no great shakes there tonight but it is Tuesday. He did 17 covers and he's got three of the 4 letting rooms taken. People seem to be getting on, getting on.
  19. Funny that, our kid has been in the hospitality/pub trade most of his life. He's just taken another pub due to relocating, he's done away with Sky TV, BT, the pool table, and dartboard the saving on Sky and BT come in at £1,500/month. He's altered the menu and he's doing just fine so he tells me, I'll post up later what it's like in there this evening when I get back. Last Thursday night and Saturday afternoon when I was there, there were plenty of people about.
  20. Part of my username here is due to buying a Bedford Rascal tipper when we bought the bungalow and needed to clear the ground where a proper tipper couldn't get, best money I ever spent. Carried the weight, and squeezed it in most places.
  21. Believe it or not, he jacked it, not thrown off... surprisingly. T'is a funny clip.
  22. Really, I thought that the general consensus is 'junk' food is more expensive than 'good' food. I think a lot of people eat crap because they are lazy, not because it's cheap.
  23. Yes, if it was clear across the board that would be fine, but when I can sit in pubs, restaurants and many other places for hours without a face covering why do I need one to pay for my diesel, a task that takes a few minutes. Can you see where it falls down?, if you haven't eaten the crayons could you draw me a picture of the difference.
