  1. My road tax was/is due this month which I tried to pay the same way I always pay it. Gov website>Reg>document ref number>card details. The money hasn't gone out of my bank and the Gov website is showing my vehicle has no tax. I've checked all the details are correct, so I'm not being a div on that score. Anyone else had problems? I did get the confirmation (green tick sign) when I completed (or not) the transaction.
  2. If it's anything like my pheasant shooting I'd miss.
  3. I wasn't preaching to anyone, I just think suggesting in this day n age chopping people's fingers off for nicking a client off the main contractor is a bit over the top.
  4. Living full time in your van changes everything, mooch about subbing, leave the trailer for now.
  5. I'd love to talk work with you, pm me a number.
  6. Bit of a kicking, but it could be worse I suppose.
  7. That's a f****r, is that a fine, or a visit to the magistrates?
  8. Race into London like Dempsey said, but it's a nightmare if you catch it wrong. It's where the tut is at. Personally in the op's case I'd race to Wimslow in Cheshire, cheap to live not far out and plenty of tut floating about.
  9. Let the side down again...
  10. Another unthunk through idea by the government, pubs in London were going to open just past midnight tonight, so they had to have a rethink.
  11. What's housing got to do with this? And don't think you're on your own, I've owned houses in the past, but for me to buy another one around here would cripple me or see me working 6 days a week well into my 60's. When/if the time comes I'll move north and buy a house.
  12. Local lock downs do seem to make sense, I just can't see it working. I live on the border of Suffolk and Essex if 'they' locked either down people will just go over the water to the nearest shops/pub.
  13. How do 'they' over abuse the welfare state? My mate recently signed on after loosing his job, he gets his rent paid and (I think) £96 a week, not a lot left after he's paid his other bills, good job he's got a bit of savings, but that won't last long unless he can find another job.
  14. It's another one of his ill thought out ideas, I know lads who've drawn dividends out of Ltd companies that would be ticking along nicely if their businesses hadn't been shut down, and have had nothing since things closed down (I know they do it to pay less tax, but it's legal) but feck me, Andy, get your head around what is going on around you. I also know lads that have 'claimed' the grants and the bounce back loan to pay off other debts because of the no/low interest rate when their business wasn't affected by the virus.
  15. Wish I'd never mentioned it now... Be Pleasure really, lad.
  16. Little strong (even for me) but you ain't too far out. Fool to himself.
  17. Not that often, what do you think I am, posh?
  18. Oh well, guessed wrong... If you fancy a pint at the Black Lion I've booked 10 nights over at Wetley Rocks from the 20th of the month.
  19. That's got to be someone pulling your chain? Chaddleton by any chance?
  20. I agree about the media but it's the politicians also spouting this nonsense, I don't think it's right to lay the blame solely on the media. Johnson, Hancock, and Cummings are changing their story more often than I change my pants, they either need to reign it in or feck off.
  21. Been reading it this morning, tw*ts! I'm sure there is plenty of local people to his holiday pitch that could have prepared it for his return. It boils my piss.
  22. People must live in a different world from the one I live in, there's just been a lady on the wireless (missed who she was) saying there will be plenty of police about on Saturday to make sure social distancing is being carried out around pubs. I've lived in this village for 2 years and have never seen a police officer or police car here, she thinks it's going to be policed?, silly duffer.
  23. Still can't get the hang of being funny, can ya ?
  24. And you should be back in your box, Given time you'll do a funny.
  25. No Les, I'm more refined than that. I asked her quietly if she needed anything else attending to.
