  1. Ta, I wonder what would happen if I got a tug by the police, (not that I intend to), do they have different info than we have, or will the vehicle show as untaxed.
  2. It's quite simple really, if you are a painter n decorator that does a bit of Arb work as a subby you are doing it to keep the funds coming in, shit on the main contractor and the funds stop rolling in. Nicking one client isn't going to keep you going.
  3. Have you checked if the bike is showing as taxed on the Gov website?
  4. Farage consistent... that's got to be one of the funniest things I've heard in time. Try googling "Farage contradictions", you'll have hours of reading, and viewing.
  5. I can always find a fool, unfortunately someone else has found them before and taken their money.
  6. It's beyond bizzare. As another Member said... they are thick as mince. I've nothing academic... but I'm well read. Lots of them are academic, but thick as a brick. A good vet would shoot them.
  7. No, used the V5 number. It seemed to go through but no movement of money. Me getting mail reminders...
  8. My road tax was/is due this month which I tried to pay the same way I always pay it. Gov website>Reg>document ref number>card details. The money hasn't gone out of my bank and the Gov website is showing my vehicle has no tax. I've checked all the details are correct, so I'm not being a div on that score. Anyone else had problems? I did get the confirmation (green tick sign) when I completed (or not) the transaction.
  9. If it's anything like my pheasant shooting I'd miss.
  10. I wasn't preaching to anyone, I just think suggesting in this day n age chopping people's fingers off for nicking a client off the main contractor is a bit over the top.
  11. Living full time in your van changes everything, mooch about subbing, leave the trailer for now.
  12. I'd love to talk work with you, pm me a number.
  13. Bit of a kicking, but it could be worse I suppose.
  14. That's a f****r, is that a fine, or a visit to the magistrates?
  15. Race into London like Dempsey said, but it's a nightmare if you catch it wrong. It's where the tut is at. Personally in the op's case I'd race to Wimslow in Cheshire, cheap to live not far out and plenty of tut floating about.
  16. Let the side down again...
  17. Another unthunk through idea by the government, pubs in London were going to open just past midnight tonight, so they had to have a rethink.
  18. What's housing got to do with this? And don't think you're on your own, I've owned houses in the past, but for me to buy another one around here would cripple me or see me working 6 days a week well into my 60's. When/if the time comes I'll move north and buy a house.
  19. Local lock downs do seem to make sense, I just can't see it working. I live on the border of Suffolk and Essex if 'they' locked either down people will just go over the water to the nearest shops/pub.
  20. How do 'they' over abuse the welfare state? My mate recently signed on after loosing his job, he gets his rent paid and (I think) £96 a week, not a lot left after he's paid his other bills, good job he's got a bit of savings, but that won't last long unless he can find another job.
  21. It's another one of his ill thought out ideas, I know lads who've drawn dividends out of Ltd companies that would be ticking along nicely if their businesses hadn't been shut down, and have had nothing since things closed down (I know they do it to pay less tax, but it's legal) but feck me, Andy, get your head around what is going on around you. I also know lads that have 'claimed' the grants and the bounce back loan to pay off other debts because of the no/low interest rate when their business wasn't affected by the virus.
  22. Wish I'd never mentioned it now... Be Pleasure really, lad.
  23. Little strong (even for me) but you ain't too far out. Fool to himself.
  24. Not that often, what do you think I am, posh?
