  1. I haven't got a problem wearing a face covering, (please don't keep calling them masks, shop owners will NOT recognise a face covering else). I just don't get how we can go down the pub, or send kids to school without face coverings yet we need to use them to nip to Tesco.
  2. Believe it or not 'we' can spend all evening mixing with people down the pub without wearing a face covering, but woe be tide you turn up to do half n hours shopping without a face covering. Joined up thinking seems to be lost on this government.
  3. Ya like that one, don't ya. Are you up to the outlaws? I'm away Monday.
  4. No, but I've been close by.
  5. Hey up Les, we agree, I looked at it earlier and thought the very same thing.
  6. Les, you've claimed that the experts will be along to say differently today, wrong. I know nothing of that kind of machinery, what I do pick up on is when you are way out of your depth.
  7. Where are these pictures Les, I've been waiting in anticipation since lunchtime on Sunday. It's been the longest hour of my life.
  8. I think you are wrong, I don't think there will be significant tax hikes, I did but, don't now. "We"ve gone too far. That mysterious magic money tree will come into play. We, your children, and their children's children will be paying for this. A bit like WW11. Or the government (whichever colour) will just stack the debt in the inbox and get some more bonds.
  9. You ain't the only one, spoke with two mates today, ones a general builder he's taken two extensions this last week, enough work to see him through til Christmas, the other is what I'd call a good all rounder he's taken a few good jobs over the last couple of weeks. My phone has been quiet over the last few weeks, got a call Saturday afternoon with a good run of work for the next few weeks... I'm booked up to go away on holiday for 10 nights on the 20th of the month... how's ya luck Egg?, my man said, "don't worry, we haven't done much for 3 months it'll still be there when you get back". Which is reassuring.
  10. You are just a show off Gary!... you're doing a grand job fella.
  11. It was obvious no checks were being carried out when I applied, there must have been thousands of applications going in every hour and the money was in my bank in short time.
  12. It doesn't take long for the crooks to get going. Fraudster uses coronavirus loan scheme to scam Scots car dealer out of £40K Porsche - Daily Record WWW.DAILYRECORD.CO.UK Stephen Bogan warned others to be “unbelievably vigilant” after the scammer took out a government loan in his...
  13. Ah I see, he didn't need to take a bounce back loan because his criminal activities keep him going during a pandemic, makes sense now, loads of people stuck at home watching sky tv on a dodgy dongle.
  14. Anyone else notice that apart from parts of Lancashire the vast majority of new cases of Covid-19 are on the outskirts of Leicester, did anyone mention that people who were locked down would go elsewhere to shop and drink ect?
  15. Les, we are 5 pages in and not one person here agrees with you, and most of us have been around construction/civils to know how much things cost. Not only that @Johnsond has told us how much it cost. Do ya self a favour and give it a rest.
  16. Neither did I, I took it just in case, I'm not a physic and didn't know how long the shutdown was going to go on for. If I don't need it I'll pay it back in one lump sum. Keep posting pictures of a company that's name doesn't begin with an "L" and claiming it's how you work.
  17. He'd made a statement that he felt he couldn't back down from so he carried on, his mate Steve the fabricator couldn't possibly make, blast, powder coat and deliver that steel work for anywhere near £15 hundred quid. It would take 3-4 blokes a day to hand ball (no machines, its indoors) that steelwork into place never mind the fitting of it. Then the joiners in to do the woodwork.
  18. I'd be surprised if there was any change out of £10k for that staircase
  19. Whichever way...
  20. I'm guessing that should be £370/week/£74 nicker/day. I could be wrong.
  21. Just got into bed and there’s a knock on the door, went down and some bloke on the step said can you give me a push..! I said no chance mate and slammed the door, back upstairs mrs asks what was that about so told her and she said he might have his wife and kids in the car and just needs a jump start go and help him... so I goes down and outside shouts out where are you mate... “over here on the swing” he says...
  22. Bollox, don't do away with thousands of police officers and there would be no need to bring the military in. You can keep the military doing what they should be doing, and that isn't policing the streets.
  23. He's painful at times, talk about a champagne socialist. Brought up by millionaire foster parents and thinks he can tell folk about the working class.
  24. Well said, I've no idea what it means, but well said.
  25. Keep it raty, I asked about an allotment, but there is a waiting list longer than my arm
