  1. Pretty sure in the last few years you could near enough fully allow all capital down for tax... hopefully mines already been 100% put through 😆
  2. Age is but a number 😆
  3. Right so going to apply to all OK. So currently road tax is 350 a year I think.... is it this that's going to rise a lot? In fairness I think dc pickups are shite but it's good for when I go to site with just a tracked chipper and 3 of us. Would it be cheaper tax etc just running a disco 4 now then?
  4. Not had any issues with it here so far
  5. That's for a brand spanker then... how can it affect the older ones already in use?
  6. I missed this.... what's coming?
  7. I was using super sexy chain oil then when that ran out I bought gator chain oil off Ebay. Cheap as chips and does the job. Think was 38.00 plus vat ish per 25ltr drum. I just order 100ltr a time so always have it
  8. I've got a gnarly ash tree to fell with some back lean towards a garden etc.... wet field, tractor and winch job. I think even a 2md tractor on bull rope as secondary back up. Anyhow had a closer look and noticed it's flared near the base. Bet it's hollow... used a stone off drystone wall next to it thudding the stem. Yup hollow then Zap! Stung right on the jaw line. Wasps everywhere. Been back a couple of times since to try and find and mash up their nest to no avail. Hope they sod off soon! And I always thought they died off the little gits
  9. Have you tried ringing jasp Wilsons see if they can help over the phone?
  10. Yup knock them down and blend them in
  11. What's the crack then? Anyone summerise for a business owner using for work? Or is it for large companies buying for staff etc?
  12. I'd also look at the fuel lines for cracking... also heard of them de laminating inside and closing up but never seen this myself
  13. Ganoderma on recently felled sycamore
  14. Ganoderma on a recently felled beech
  15. Ganoderma resinaceum
  16. One of my better purchases ! I've even considered bringing it in for cosmetics when I get chance to freshen it up
  17. Are there no case mx models over there or 5140 5150 etc about? Think maybe 5130 still has the 6 cylinder Cummins in it
  18. It's not really a treat when it's a necessity..... it's a works tool. I dare say that saw is a good few years old.... work out how much it cost your per day = buttons. Just go buy a new one, it's off your tax bill and your back at work earning. No point pissing the Mrs off working on and old saw that might not be right in the end and still need to buy a fresh one. Time off and with family is worth more than that....
  19. Ahh right.... throw it in scrap pile and just buy a new one then
  20. Has no one ever seen older 200t or 026 etc with smashed oil casings at the front and folk have jb weld, epoxy resin up etc.... I've seen holes the size of pound coins and worse fixed. Getting rather fancy pissing about splitting an old saw for a bit of a leak like that. Clean it up maybe even little dremel down the casing line to set something for epoxy to sit in then blather it on
  21. Why not leave exhaust off then... wipe along the gasket. Hang the saw up and go make a brew. Come back out and see where the oil.is coming from? It's a fair big repair if you did it right. But why not if you find source of leak, drain tank, clean area thoroughly maybe even key with sand paper and clean area again then epoxy resin over the area? Might be worth a shot and it's what I would do to give the saw a chance

    Pete

Bloody good solid saws they are... I regret selling a very clean 026 I got off a farmer in near new condition to buy a 550 xpg just for the heated handles 🙃😅
  23. Is this chain oil at the front I hope?
  24. I never got fancy into scopes.... I think I remember mtc viper scopes when they first came out etc. My best scopes I had and still have one though neighbours got my shooting stuff is a Simmons white tail classic 3.5-10x50 made in Philippines probably a lot better out there now
  25. I remember my mate used to have one years ago... probably still does from when we used to go ferreting
