  1. thoughts for the family and friends of this talented member of our services. I, as im sure many others agree with jammydodger, when you watch these boys perform and you see the colours of the union jack, they make you realise and just show how proud you are to be british. i sincerley hope that eventually these talented individuals will be performing across our skys again very soon.
  2. like it alot... shame about not having that kinda money
  3. Thankfully seems to be no reports of injuries, but anybody see or witness anything? sky news are a bit sketchy at the moment. Apparentley they were performing at bournemouth air show today and 1 red arrow crashed at dorset airport...
  4. well we did an aerial inspection of all the other chestnuts on the park and did some minor work but nothing major. shame it took this to prompt that but at the end of the day nobody was hurt. i think after this aerial inspections will now be funded! after all, like i said to them, what price do you put on safety!
  5. i could not agree more mate. thanks for having a look.
  6. Thanks fungus, was going to ask you to have a look at the pics and see what you thought. Their is nothing at the base of the tree to suggest anything was up with the tree if that makes sense.
  7. whats been said is water just got in and sat in the limb and over time the limb just became weak and gave up..
  8. Hi guys and girls.. This happened on Sunday evening on our local council park. Luckily enough nobody was hurt or injured but had plenty of eye witness accounts though.. some are very tarted up from what i have heard! As you can see it is very close to some play equipment, just a miracle that for a busy park, nobody wasm hurt or injured. Happened around 4pm - 5.30pm ALL trees on the council grounds are inspected yearly as a minimum, sometimes more, as and when the council has the money as im sure you all will understand, they have work carried out as and when requested so all is above board after an investigation i would just like to say. Their has been reports that some peoples children are traumatised by what happened. But witness reports say nobody, thank god was near the tree when the limb fell.
  9. as sad as this accident is and after how nature acted, thoughts are with the family and all connected.
  10. What is the limit guys you would reduce a tree too with a reduction in mind? some people on a course i attended said 30% reduction max. is this a good rule to follow? the tree in question i have looked at is a horse chestnut, not massive, about 40ft tall with more spread than anything. Its covered a street light and over hanging the footpath and over an 'A' road too. customer said he would like a 50% reduction on it. we have only spoken on the phone, have drove past and i think 50% is going to be very drastic. Would you reduce a tree to 50% or to what %, and how well do horse chestnuts cope with such heavy pruning? thanks guys.
  11. Hi guys, Have searched the forums and am aware their are many threads im sure about this but just like to ask the question: When is the best time to prune an apple tree? the customer who's tree it is, wants it raised up to 6ft, wants the whole tree brought in tighter and all the upward growth removed. I have suggested a thin through which she is happy to go with. But its full of healthy crop of cooking apples but am i right in saying its best once the crop has fallen, october time roughly? will alot of pruning cause too much stress to the tree? Thanks guys.
  12. its pathetic. what is the point, just a load of mindless idiots jumping on the band wagon, who i bet do not work that are causing £1000's worth of damage that all of us will be paying for. if the police did go in heavy handed, good old human rights would be in favour of these thugs. Shame they dont get the army in, with live rounds! they wouldnt come back following night. but then, just send the royal marines in with the S.A.S would soon solve the problem, but as im not prime minister shame that wont happen. They have brought shame to our country and to the british people with our reputation.
  13. get my tea on the table for 5pm when im home, but the deal is, who ever cooks, the other wash's up, and thats not always an advantage, so i want a dishwasher!
  14. me too! its not fair, its not right and its against the law!
  15. GUTTED! would of boughts loads from you!
  16. agree with you mate.. just think it sounds like a waste of money but some people swear by it and says it helps them especially on recoverey, which i can understand... but surely it takes the fun out of what your aiming for?
  17. this is where jerry cans now have increased sales ha ha
