  1. yeh but the motorway speed limit was set before disc brakes existed, stopping distances were 3 times what they are now,,,
  2. you sir.... are a muppet,,, not least for putting that in writing... i firmly believe that the 30mph limit is there for a reason,, now the motorway speed limit,, that's another story all together,, but 30mph is there so that kids etc dont get flattened,,
  3. does that make it cheaper for birthdays too?
  4. can you not tell from the accent?
  5. you mac or PC?
  6. FWIW when i ordered my riko it was delayed at the factory for quite some time,, chris loaned me their demo machine until mine arrived,, this was great service that was much appreciated, also for the record,, i've not complained about the service from the UK guys,, it's more the stupid design of the wheels and the attempt to fix a problem that was never there,, and the solution is one that is going to cost me time/ money...
  7. my point exactly,,,, it's as daft as possible a place to put the axle,,, now i know italians like to make it look pretty,, i should know,, i've worked for ducati,, but there is no sense at all in where they are now,, and as TCD says,,, why should i buy ANOTHER trailer,,, the one ive got is great,,
  8. wasn't venting chris,,, i made a small comment re my service from riko,,, you said was being dramatic,,, felt i needed to clarify as you made out i was being petty... i still have a splitter which is a nightmare to move,,,not your problem as you no longer work there anyway,,
  9. not dramatic at all, chris,, it's the truth,,, ok,,a 10 minute job,, but i don't weld, have no access to welding kit, so for me to "get it fixed" involves getting the splitter onto the trailer, ( no mean feat with the wheels where they are) i'd then have to find someone willing to do the job, take it to them, get it off the trailer (again, with the wheels where they are it's not easy, the thing has already tried to kill me twice) then tip the thing over so that it can be welded.. OH and pay the guy for doing the job,. and then follow the same procedure to get it home,, SO,,,, a simple ten minute job is it? being dramatic am I????? all this for a bit of kit i paid alot of money for,,,,
  10. spend your money elsewhere if you're not getting the service,, RIKO's solution for my wheel issue was for ME to go and get them moved,...

    Vehicle Image

first impressions count,, impossible to NOT notice your vehicle,,,nothing brand new, but nothing old and tatty, I find a 5 year old D3 does very well,,get alot of comments from customers too,
  12. umm,, i'd steer clear of kimmeridge until you're competent. highcliffe is your best bet,, there's a friendly bunch down there too, keep an eye out for a salty looking bloke with a beard, eric is his name,, you can pick his brains to your hearts content,, there's also a curly haired chap with a prominent nose called joe,, he's helpful too, failing that,, just keep an eye on the charts and get used to bailing from work early on fridays,,,
  13. top job steve,, VERY impressive,,
  14. shame its not lengths a couple of boatbuilders down here screaming for yew
  15. probably last week,, fashion takes a while to catch on up there,,,
  16. if you're getting paid less than £5.93 an hour then you need to sort it out,, that's below minimum wage,,,
  17. however,, the petzl vertex is basically the industry standard safety helmet used from everything from tree work to cave rescue etc etc, i also know edelrid's tree lid is identical to their rock lid,, just got ear mounts,,
  18. i want to do it in an APE car but eith a ducati engine,, looking at a silly ride for H4H to mugello this year..
  19. brilliant,, been looking at doing this for a while,, just commitments mean otherwise,, and another equally daft trip planned,, good luck with it,, what car are you taking?
  20. i agree,,, it was just tom202's comment that the pay is what it's worth,,12-15prh is not amazing is it,,esp after you've paid for your ticket etc..
  21. REALLY,, you saying this job's worth only £12 per hour???

  23. Land Rover Defender stolen with dogs on board - Bromsgrove this was posted on the discovery forum, more that know the better,, Land Rover stolen with dogs on board - Bromsgrove - International Falconry Forum (IFF) Been asked to post this on behalf of someone. A long shot, but the more people know, the more chance someone might spot the dogs or the car. CAN YOU HELP FIND 2 MISSING PUPPIES? LARGE CASH REWARD, NO QUESTIONS ASKED! A chocolate and red coloured smooth hair miniature daschund 7 months old, male dog, wearing a chocolate brown leather and brass collar, and a brindle coloured wired hair miniature daschund, also 7 months old, male dog are missing... Can you help return them to their family? The puppies were in the back of a blue Land Rover Defender, registration number: 888 DAX, which was stolen from outside St Peter's Church, Worcester Road, Bromsgrove on Thursday 6th January 2011, whilst the owner was attending a funeral. It's likely the thieves didn't know the dogs were in the back of the car. The puppies were in a white wire dog carrier, approximately 28" x 28", with a pillow and dog blankets. The dogs are well looked after and from a very loving home, and are desperately missed by their family. LARGE CASH REWARD is offered for information leading to the return of the dogs. NO QUESTIONS asked about the theft of the car or other contents, the family just want their dogs to come back home. If you have ANY information about these two puppies, or the white wire dog carrier please send a facebook message or post on the wall of this page. Or if you don't want to leave your name and details, please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or the RSPCA national hotline on 0300 1234999.
