  1. Finally I can say that I am a Member of the Little Greenie Club!!! Picked up my 14hp CS100 on Friday and what a awesome machine. I can't believe the output from something you can wheel through someones house!! Got a full 4 days with it this week before I get wed on Saturday. Will get some pics up soon!
  2. Well I passed the CS38!!! Had a great week training and the assessment went really well....for 2 of us anyhow. One of the other lads who had only been up a tree once before bottled it on the branch walk and quit. Poor bugger, it was a sod of a branch to do it on, v slippy and springy but hey you have to show you can do them and unfortunately for him he couldn't. Got my 39 assess tomorrow which I am confident about, the trainer said it doesnt last long? Anyone done it recently??
  3. Thats a fair pile to chip Steve!!
  4. Less than a week now hopefully and I'll need one of those t shirts!!
  5. Ad, that would be great if you could. I'm using it on my setup and like it alot but just want to fine tune it. Climbing on a blakes at the college and I'm not that keen on it, its ok but I'm sure the VT will be better. Thanks pal
  6. Might be the safer option, I dont think we would want you to upload the wrong pic if your in the bath!
  7. Have you got a pic of how short its dressed? The VT that is not you:001_tongue:
  8. Think the thread should be called "would you live in that house"!!!

    todays job,

Drop it off the cliff into the sea and float it in:thumbup:
  10. Well, on the spikes today and boy was it weird to begin with! Got used to them after 8 times up and down though!! Did another rescue the same as the 2nd day and got it down from 14 mins to 9mins which I was v chuffed with!
  11. Have you seen these? Klein Climbing Spikes on eBay (end time 28-May-10 16:55:54 BST)
  12. Speak to PeteB from Greenmech (send him a PM) he has been extremely helpful in my choice of chipper as I was having the same problem deciding. I suppose you should choose one where the dealer is close to you as well. Speak to PeteB and he will def be able to help you. I am going for the little greenmech microchipper but that's a whole other thread!!
  13. Go for a single. 1 less roller to replace and 2 less bearings to replace. What size chipper are you going for?

    todays job,

Was that the infamous half-a-hinge felling cut thingy!!!

    todays job,

Fair play buddy thats one hell of a garden, like a scaled down Italian Job with those paths. The last shot is that the fell you did the other day?
  18. Well all going well so far did my first ever full rescue today under 14 minutes from rope throw to after recovery position which I was pleased with. Final anchor point was 35ft. Getting the spikes out tomorrow arvo I think, looking forward to it!
  19. Good to see that they are using the van for all it's good for now.... a broom rack:thumbup:
  20. Really? How long is the CS38, I'm training all week with assesment next Wed then CS39 starting on Thurs for 3 days. Looking forward to starting in the tree tomorrow!
  21. Got my CS38 training starting today:thumbup: Been waiting for this since February so really can't wait to get this and CS39 next week done so I can start gaining experience.
  22. Thats the exact setup im after apart from the mog!!
  23. TT thats my problem, I have a Discovery at the moment so if I went for a trailed chipper it means I would need at least a pickup (pref a tipper). For the price of a trailed machine I can get a little GM and a tipping trailer!
  24. I see your point. It is too much to rely on a micro chipper but for my line of business I believe its the way forward, as I said if I require a larger machine I shall hire one in.
  25. Look forward to it!!!
