Cheers pal. Going to try one in a bit and see what they're like. Pal of mine has one and tows big stuff with it so will see what he thinks. Staring to have the odd issue with the disco at the moment so thinking a change is in order before it costs too much to fix! How's the nipper?

    Isuzu Rodeo DMax

Thanks for that guys, going to try one today and got chance of good deal on an 08 plate. Would be interested to hear from you Nifty to see what you think of it. Just out of interest, what made you go for the Isuzu?
  5. Guys, Im sure there are lots of threads about the perfect pick up but can people just tell me whether these trucks are good? I know they sound a bit ropey when cold but I do like them and they have a 3000kg towing limit and good mpg which makes it a good choice instead of the disco. I shoot during the winter so will need a 4x4 for that but want to have something I wont ruin putting saws etc in the back. Thanks. Max
  6. All I said was that Dean looked good in his new company vest, no need to get chippy with me!

  10. One down the road from me is doing an evening French course! Sorry couldnt resist. What course do you want to do? I would just phone the ones local to you and ask.
  11. Practice, practice pal. What specifically did they say you weren't yet competent with??
  12. Pal of mine bought 1 3yrs ago for £1200. He is putting up a store and workshop now so think it might be going surplus at some point. Its top notch condition actually and would be a hell of a buy for someone, certainly big enough for what you want it for.
  13. Yeah I know, was looking forward to some future health management work on these trees! Never mind.
  14. He was told that a 40% reduction including the overhanging limb had to be done by the end of August. I then quoted the job and he coughed slightly as most customers do within this industry. He then asked whether it would be cheaper to fell it which I said no due tractors and winches being needed etc as well as the traffic mgt. I think he was holding off due to financial issues and was ignoring council letters threatening him that the forthcoming action was going to happen. Im passing the site today so will get a photo of how the contactors left it (whether it was a flush cut or hedge height stump left). Shame really as I was looking forward to the job!
  15. Thought I would post the outcome of this. After weeks of trying to get hold of the customer to no avail, I managed to on Friday. Turns out the council went mad at him for not undertaking the recommended work (within the time limit) to the tree due to the dangerous limb and told him that the contractors are coming in 3 days to do it. They ended up felling it and another one further up the field of similar size.
  16. I'll have you know that my spot cream is working and I have loads of money
  17. Sorry only just read the rest of the thread, oops!
  18. Surely its no more higher than the trailed TW's, look at the one to the right?! Looks good, but a waste of time I think!
