  1. That was the idea, have orange hi viz for the lads. Just wondering on whether I need to notify the HA or whether I can just crack on!
  2. Folks, I've been asked to take this down by the 2 owners of the property (semi detached) as they want to appreciate the views from their bedroom windows and in case of failure due to weather conditions. Can anyone advise me whether/who I need to notify about putting out traffic warning signs/cones etc all of which I have. The road is a B road and isn't hugely busy, the work will be done at the weekend when there is even less traffic. Thanks.
  3. I have just won a large job pollarding 36 poplars by 30ft. I priced the job by working out a day rate for me, another climber, groundy, etc etc. Some of the trees are easy but some are going to be pigs so pricing per tree is going to be a nightmare as they are all different.
  4. Sounds sad but I'm counting the days now til I upgrade. Heading for the HTC Desire as I absolutely do not want an iPhone. Roll on 19th Dec!
  5. Good man, did they not do 31 straight afterwards?
  6. Nice job and cool pics. But why was the crane needed? Could it not have been dismantled normally??
  7. Congratulations VEG!! Good feelin isn't it!!
  8. I have a TD5 2003 Disco and its been ok. Had to replace the injector wiring harness at 65000mls, 2 x abs sensors due to all the warning lights coming on when going over a bump! And just sorted the leaking sunroofs with a bit of help from Mastic! Apart from that it has been a great car but its too smart for tree work (top spec, 7 leather seats etc) hence the Isuzu pickup should be with me this time next week.
  9. How many days a week etc??
  10. Lets see the pics and have some more info, age etc.
  11. Mines round me neck on a shortish loop.
  12. Good man, how did you find it?
  13. I got funded for all of my courses 30/31/38/39 80% off training but full price assessment. I think it cost me £1250 for the lot. Phone Lantra and ask for info on part funded courses.
  14. Is he smoking mid cutting at 8.40 in the first vid??
  15. Would you defender drivers do this?? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiJxXWSVCtc&feature=related]YouTube - land rover defender 90 deep water crossing nearly swept away[/ame]
  16. Just found a pic of a typical Thursday summer evening, damn I miss it!!
  17. Yeah had 2 new front sensors 12 months ago and it fixed the problem but was on the way to the Isuzu garage to have a look at a Rodeo pickup and the bloody things came up again! A quick turn off and on again and they went out!
  18. Have you had any problems with the abs, tc, hill decent lights coming on the dash yet?!!
  19. Yey another D2 owner who's truck turns into a fish bowl after a shower!! Got the mastick on mine around where the sunroof fits to the roof and re sealed the seal with mastick to. Sorted the problem no bother!! Here's mine.
  20. Yeah i know me too actually but there we go! Hopefully I'll manage to change her mind!
  21. Guys, I might be moving back to Bucks/Berks after Christmas time, want to put some feelers out now for the availability of a full time position. Been running my own business in Shrop which is going well but the wife wants to move back to her roots. I would prefer to keep going with my own business but I dont think I can (financially) as I would have to go back to square one and pick up new clients. Working for someone is going to be the way forward to begin with. Are there any firms out there in that region that will be looking for someone, I'll obviuosly keep an eye on Arbjobs etc and here but any heads up would be appreciated. Thanks.
  22. Call garden centres or equestrian yards, managed to get rid of 4 loads the other day and never had to pay a penny!!
