  1. nice work drew and dak. surprised you didnt put the ring anchor in!
  2. yep.. gotta love that. thats why a uni is better than a hitch hiker:001_tt2: RR looks even better.. Uni self tending with the smoothness of a wrench setup and doesnt wear out <3
  3. snap.. so much easier to recrotch. if you are riding the hook who needs srt?
  4. Welcome to the cougar club Rich. Lovely rope.. lovely to splice and even better to climb on.. It is bloody thin when new. Nice when it fluffs up a bit
  5. Zluts the pair of you!! cant we just all get along..??! How about that tether <3 Continues to impress. I may put an extra bit of tape on it to stiffen her up a bit
  6. ..Whore.. I thought we had something special. Mark you don't want one of these mate they are rubbish and really dangerous:001_rolleyes:
  7. Just like Adam's derriere ...... said Ian Flatters (not so secret lovers)
  8. ..this zerlut loves it used today repollarding london planes. Made a crap dusty job fun
  9. Seconded!!! Chill Ian!
  10. So Adam sent my commercial sample and it arrived yesterday afternoon when I got home from work Firstly, I was really impressed with how compact it is! I Climbed on it all day today in a big spready oak tree. Overall I am really impressed with the tether mate! Its very springy and responsive when tending slack and pings the wrench back up to the engaged position. It is also really narrow at the attachment points which is great as it allows the biner to be less cramped. Great idea on the rubbers and grommet for the wrench attachment end. You must have been a genius to come up with that All in all I give it a 8.5/10..... so far. Thats pretty good after one climb in my book. Minus 1 because I cant comment on the longevity yet. But it looks like it will last well! and minus 0.5 for the inverting (it doesn't really invert) but I like my tether to engage really quickly because i run a really short hitch. If the wrench is only half engaged it can make the hitch bind a touch....but that is a personal preference thing rather than a flaw with the tether. Great work mate. Looking forward to updating as I get to use it more!!
  11. Couldnt answer that as I have never used one. But it looks that way. Another thing that put me off the barrel and sent me towards a drum. Get one and see! I would be interested to hear how it works
  12. Could the rope have been running over the sideplate on the block and not on the sheave?
  13. And they say SRT is dangerous? Taking links out of the system is never a bad thing..
  14. We'll see how stupid at the shiny gear is when they are still body thrusting up 100ft planes
  15. I think you might be getting drum confused with the barrel attachment.
  16. Sounds like a sensible approach, especially when you dont know the extent of the decay and the relationship between host and fungi..
  17. Glad to hear it mate! Keeping the competition down for the rest of us.. we don't want standards getting too high. Before long people will be expecting uni users to be good climbers! Glad it hear it went well! Could have been worse than 50% holding Did a few stone dead eucs in oz but never with the dead mans fingers. All the ones I did were hard as stone and really dusty:thumbdown:
  18. How'd it go Dan?
  19. Lol.. just get up there and cut it down haha!! Sorry Dan, in all seriousness I never saw it on any Eucs over in oz. Im sure you'll be fine if you scope it out and go at her carefully (as we all know you will). Good luck mate. Get us a photo of a nice decayed slice!
  20. Imagine how bad Im going to get it next week!! See you monday. Will be good to catch up! I'll make sure to use the uni up a teeny tiny tree just to stir them up!! And install the rope with a throwline!
  21. you are 100% dead, just looking at it
  22. Speaking from experience? Gutted I missed that.. I bet kevin didnt shut up about it for ages....
  23. Eucalyptus regnans, Corymbia citriodora and a Ficus of the strangling variety, virens or microcarpa etc
  24. I would think it's probably not the best idea to natural crotch with it much as the cover is not going to be as tough as some other arb ropes
