    Channel Trailer

Nice video Reg. Loved Australia, but same thing. Full of aussies!! At least they have some humour.
  2. Just get a unicender and stop playing video games!! Welcome to the real world
  3. You've got a point mark. It certainly is a bit of a which piece now looking photo. 3 is funny
  4. Number 2 is pretty sweet
  5. Certainly does mate. As you can see i need a new piece. Bodged it with a tiny alpine
  6. Here you go guys: the ben minty setup. Merry xmas:001_tt2: For hands free ascent I use a webbing sling twisted into an 8 shape with a revolver around the line above my device. Make sure it is asphxsi-wank tight around your chest! Dan knows what im talking about:thumbup1: Keeps you dead close to the line so you can relax and lean back into it a bit. Saves your arms getting tired on long ascents:thumbup:
  7. Haha yea im sure ive posted it before too! I will just take another photo as I cba trawling for it. Plus I have nothing better to do! 5 mins
  8. I certainly did make my own. 9mm tenex spliced short whoopies footloop. Tiny maillon to the croll and then elastic for the top part. Use thick elastic 4/5mm. Has more pulling power and cuts in less if you run it over your shoulder
  9. Hit me up with some dates Ian. I have all fridays in January free at the moment still. We could do a friday if you need a hand at all then get a climb in? If you don't need any help or you have those local remote control climbers (crasher curtis and bosh it bourne) on the case we need to get a SRT sesh on the go at whippendell instead?!?!
  10. love my cinch. Just gone back on my lanyard, I was using it for rock climbing in the summer. and yes! the dmm biners are poop in dirty conditions. Rock and petzl mainly now
  11. Agreed. Dont tether ascenders to yourself above the wrench incase of a fall and rope shredding. I find hand ascender and footloops too busy also. HAAS/rope rocket and a pantin for me!
  12. Nothing compared to yours Ian. Bigshot all the way for 25m+ shots
  13. Good starting point. I'm still learning new wrench tricks. Fancy a go on a HH if they were a bit less big and clunky
  14. Yea I was impressed with your skills Dan! 30m was big! The best I managed to get the line accurately in that grave yard Kapok was 25! and that was a lucky shot! One armed pendulum is key for big throws. But im more accurate with a cradle between my legs. You are right Dan I need to practice. I dont take the big shot everyday. Just for big trees
  15. Part of my problem too!! Bigshot:001_tt2:

    Going to USA.

I think I am going to buy a nice long length of New England Escalator from Treestuff when I am over in march or april! Love the signature Ben! If I make it up to NYC from Virginia could be fun to get a beer or 3. Considering trying to work out in the states for a bit!
  17. Hello treesmith! I hope its the one and only Mat Smith treesmith!! The t540 is loads better than 201! I suppose modding might even them out though:001_smile:
  18. First one is spot on! Nice work both of you:thumbup1:
  19. Agreed! It's a great film of the trip! Nice one mate:thumbup:
  20. I have copyrights to all my SRT terminology haha!
  21. I think you missed your calling Dan. So many more options single line! I am a big fan of installing redirects from the ground before I climb up. Good old predirects!! Keeping the efficiency up
  22. Singlelineveteraningthesheetoutofit Dan Keeps the angles sexy too
  23. Good post Adam. Explains some important things to get your head around when starting out SRTWP. I prefer the red and purple.. Sometimes I will then descend. Tie off my tail and climb up the purple side and mirror the red side working on the way down. Can get a groundsman to tie and untie for you, if you trust them
  24. For what its worth i use a figure of 8 for rock climbing because everyone else is more comfortable with it... and im too lazy to tie a figure of 9 as a rethread. Good original post for peoples awareness!!
  25. do what you like. i just dont think its an excuse to say a knot is no good because somebody once failed to tie it correctly. fair comment with the rock climbing. can you tie a figure of 8 around a bolt/eye with one hand though? I can tie a snap bowline with one hand and back it off with an overhand as mentioned above.. And I can then untie it with one hand. Figure of 8 is bombproof, agreed. I find they bind too much so I use a figure of 9 if Im going down that route. And yeah I do disagree with you never using it again. Right things for the right applications. Pay a bit of attention and the knot works fine. I can understand why you would use the figure of 8 in an alpine situation though.
