  1. Can I book you to tarmac my driveway when you finish this job?
  2. There was The ash tree in Ashford middx. And we have a mulberry here in Worthing.
  3. A thousand apologies, as I said in my post these are my limited understandings, I was just trying to help. I would imagine such things would be recorded at the legal institution where they were raised. I'll get my coat.
  4. If you do take legal action, as I understand it, you would then have to inform any prospective purchaser when you come to sell your house. I think all such actions are recorded somewhere, so just be aware.

    Jokes???

Never trust a Welshman whos wearing a wooly sporran
  6. They should have a system like the SORN for road tax. People fill in, anually, a form to say that they will abide by the rules and be treated like a valued human being. If you sign the form and then do not abide by the rules - that, in itself is a crime and you lose all your nanny state entitlements. The system can then deal with the crimes as they see fit (with input from the victim). If someone does not fill out their Statutory Law Abiding Statement they will be added to a published list and lose all their benefits entitlements, passport and so on. The only peolpe this would cause ANY inconvenience to is criminals (oooo how sad). We are all entitled to civil liberties - until we take liberties.
  7. If you know the client and are confident he will pay, crack on. As for the studentsd still being asleep - you know what everyone will say about that.
  8. Much more positive connection with heavy trailers. Not sure why it was fitted to a GM220.
  9. Thanks for that info, I had no idea. Just had a look on-line and they look good. I've left a message with the UK suppliers - Fingers crossed:thumbup:
  10. I can't believe the mods haven't stopped this thread.
  11. Having read all the blurb about the marvels of multi tip grinding teeth I bought a new predator a couple of years back with the multi tip flywheel. It probably is 25% quicker than some other systems but I am serously thinking of converting to the green tooth system. Why - I find it takes ages to sharpen the teeth otherwise you spend a fortune on new teeth (my last order was over £500). Yes I pass on the cost to the customer but the teeth just seem soooo costly. Anyone on here love multitip and willing to swap their old style flywheel for a multi tip one? Or has anyone got a spare flywheel for sale? Its the hydraulically driven 460 (pre turntable model)

    Wasps

We found a nest today - they still seemed a bit dozy but came to life when our trainee 'showed' us that they were not wasps but harmless flies. At least one of them demonstrated its sting to him. Then when he was leaf blowing the garden I had to stop him blowing over the entrance!

    Quotes you like!

Q What if I train all my staff and then they leave? A What if you don't train them and they stay?
  14. My suspicion is he is what we call a nucking futter. Apparently lived alone, quiet guy, in a street the taxi drivers refer to as heroin avenue. Still feel too grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to say much more:sneaky2::sneaky2:
  15. She did right to have her bush trimmed properly. And to those who resent massive wealth.... Successful people must love all this 'verbal bashing'. All the time the cynics are spending moaning/hating/resenting - they are not getting off their botties and doing something positive with their own lives and will not be a threat to those who achieve success. I'm sure if I really (I mean REALLY) wanted to be a millionaire I would have found a way years ago. But I am happy to sit down and rest in some of my spare time. I enjoy my life where I am. I don't mix with people I consider idle, I mix with people I like and I can afford nice holidays. I'll never have the money that people like JKR has but I'm happy. If JKR was happy to spend years writing, or Alan Sugar goes to the far East as a teenager to find cheap manufacturers, good luck to them. We have options. Do something for yourself but stop the frigging whingeing.
  16. Groundwork - Husky 353 and Stihl 260. Boots, helmets and trousies essential, rarely gloves. Just use a small sharp 'cheapie' hand axe for cutting/knoocking ivy and cleaning stumps for sawing prior to grinding. Usual other saws for climbing/but slicing (MS200, 044, Hus 365 and 3120)
  17. As demonstrated in your avatar! Good work Stefan:thumbup:
  18. Steve, please be my guest. I hope you will never have to use it:thumbup1:
  19. Watch out for that 75lb pike that lives in there. Fun video.
  20. Awful news. Once again the media reporting seems inconsistent. The BBC report today says it was a swing made of poles from tree trunks - not exactly a tree failure. Feel so sorry for the mum, whatever the reason. Lets hope they don't cut down all the trees in the park.
  21. I recently had this. My final letter - which led to immediate payment included this wording.. 'I telephoned you and you said you would sort things out as there was an issue with your bank. I subsequently wrote to you asking for payment by Friday 11th July. I have received nothing. If you do not arrange payment of the outstanding debt by Friday 25th July I will take legal action. You should be aware that this will substantially increase the eventual payment (to include court costs, interest and legal fees) and will result in a CCJ against you.'
  22. Not sure I'd go for red robin. A lot of the ones planted round here seem rather delicate - nowhere near as robust as laurels, bays etc. Knowing how school budgets often lead to maintenance cut-backs I would think enthusiastic volunteer gardeners could do a lot more damage than they could to the other species mentioned.
  23. Maybe everyone's grown up a bit. Just watch out for the new September intake.
  24. He has shown an unhealthy interest in the thread about urinating. We have to keep him away from sheep as his favourite hobby is setting fire to them.
  25. Just tried to compose myself for a rant. No real structure to this - I'm still stunned. An old acquaintance (from my cycle club days) was stabbed to death two evenings ago following a small collision (in his car not on his bike) in Worthing. He was in his 70s and really laid back guy. What kind of person gets out and knifes someone? Why was he carrying a knife anyway? Madness! Utter madness! When people bump into each other in the street they just laugh and apologise. Why on earth do people react so viciously when they are in their tin box? Good job guns are so hard to get hold of over here. God rest yer soul, Don - goodbye.
