  6. Not sure mate def not the stihl ones I haven't got large legs and when I get a new set they are like horse riding trousers
  7. My dad was 5ft 8 and 15 stone but was muscle not fat he was probably the best climber I've ever seen don't think it matters what weight you are unless it's fat or your climbing out on the twigs
  8. I'm 5ft 8 and 12 stone not sure what I'm good for like
  9. Aye im with you on that one Stephen been there mate when your reducing a tree within the rules not using spikes but it's dangerous not using them at times I care for trees but but I care for myself more if it was too dodgy I'd get myself so far up then use my spikes
  10. I work for me and I think my boss is a bit of a nob
  11. I feel stupid now I done some work on michael flattelys place in ireland and a couple of the toons players but reckon only us lot up here reckon they're famous
  12. I'd use them on a pollard if i needed them but I'm the same as Steve what differnce does it make compared to large cuts. I love using them but I stick to the rules wouldn't want to lose work through it
  13. That's why I get fired up when climbers think they are superior to groundsmen I've worked with some really useless people when you have good lads on the ground it's the best job in the world.......... I've worked for 50 quid a day haha
  14. Haha I just like a big rope aim the branch the way I want it and have a good man on the ground who can lower properly so it doesn't snatch jobs a good un
  15. All this crack just confuses me I may come across as a cowboy or a bit thick but I've never snapped a lowering rope or worried about angles and the likes to be honest I've probably used a porta wrap about ten times. I use a crotch and wrap around the tree not that I'm disrespecting the use of certain equipment it's just when I add more fancy gear or listen to technical jargan I spook myself and when I'm like that I think the job is more dangerous I'm happy with a big rope and us ethe tree on itself. I'm looking to buy a new rope at the minute and Reading this thread I don't know what to buy incase I'm running it through the wrong kit and it will fall apart

  19. Heard of a few getting this and all from Liverpool tell you what always works for me with whoever on the phone trying to sell me something I tell them I'm a gypsy and live in a caravan they always leave me alone after that
  20. What about that lass off transformers driving the mog
  21. Unlike most in this job then ha
  22. I'd prefer it if people didn't guess the weight of that like on your thread yesterday though mate Haha
  23. 91 foot actually mark haha
