  1. Nor would we condone you making sure you are in the pub with witnesses whilst a mate lies in wait for him
  2. will take quite a bit to stitch them up I guess from looking at the pics that they would repair if you where patient enough and they where cheap enough Bit to much effort for my needle abilities
  3. I did spend a while looking through old posts first and am aware that everyone will have a different opinion but i hadn't considered the husky ones so will shortly go and get my husky catalogue to have a look at them I was pretty much down to either the stretch airs or the hi flex but if loads of people posted and said dont get these they fall to bits that may have helped influence my decision will be going out in the morning to have a look and see what is available locally then make a decision - any help or opinions given before hand welcome
  4. I would guess by pressing the fn button
  5. Looking to buy some chainsaw trousers with allround protection just not sure which ones to go for What have you got and would buy again or had in the past and would not buy again and why ?? Have looked through a few old threads and will probably be not much wiser if anyone answers this one I was looking for type c class 2 and was thinking of the high vis stretch air in orange (just cause i like the dayglo orange) Any advice to confuse me even more greatfully received Dave
  6. You need to come back with at least a video and to let us know how it goes
  7. No and Yes If the room is exclusively for business use as an office then yes if it also has a bed in it as a guest room or rowing machine for work outs or home computer for surfing ebay etc then it is not exclusively for business use so No Taken straight from the wife (fully qualified accountant and tax adviser) sat 10 ft away watching channel 4 whilst i surf arbtalk Hope this clarifies things Dave
  8. You can tell its a horrible day for working by the number of little green lights illuminated on all the threads with everyone that is online
  9. Heavy gusts and sideways rain - looked like thick moving fog it was that heavy an hour ago has calmed down a bit now
  10. Was down at out local DHL / Yodel depot a month ago and there where vans scattered all over the yard and every one had the front section of exhaust hanging down and touching the floor turns out they had been turned over the night previously and all of there vans had been the victims of cat theft
  11. Would have been a good idea a while ago but MOT regs are changing from April 2012 (advisory from January) and any vehicle that had a cat fitted from factory that has had it removed will be a reason for failure and from speaking to the mot guy when i was in with the Freelander last week it will be applied retrospectively to all vehicles that had cats fitted from factory But i am sure the detail is out there on some vosa site somewhere i just have not had chance for an in depth look yet
  12. The hydraulics on my 130 crew cab are set up as follows PTO pump driven off transfer box - hydraulic oil tank located under drivers seat alongside chassis lever inside the cab to operate winch 2 levers on front wing one to operate winch and one to operate second supply line The winch lever on wing is a simple spool valve to operate both in and out The other lever is just on/off and would need the spool valve on the equipment it was powering
  13. If they have already got it and drained it it should be fine with new fuel and a fresh spark plug Have they put a new plug in it? if not i would make sure they do that before incurring any cost for stripping it
  14. The overage agreement if the phrasing is exactly reproduced above looks as if it only applies if you where to actually sell or develop rather than just gain planning Which means you could put in for planning for something like a log store which will have a minimal impact on value Put the log store up thus developing and increasing value as per overage agreement give them 50% of the couple of grand difference it makes Overage agreement is then used and excersised and no longer applies then put in for a house and make a mint
  15. Keep watching the banner ads at the top of the firewood forum and when you see the one for Log Bags, Log bulk bags, Vented log bags, Firewood bags click it Prices and quantities are all on there
  16. Time to get the plasma cutter and welder out me thinks, that style of log splitter looks a lot more productive for no extra effort
  17. I think i would go with the Herras fencing security style of fencing that is used at concerts etc Of course when you start the chipper up to chip any brash the noise from that should have them all running to the other end of the field
  18. I have a 300TDI 130 crew cab and i love it and a swb series 3 and a p38 range rover - would i buy an other Landrover - Yes But if your buying a defender get a tracker and some decent security devices on it My tracker was from Tiso gps (google it) and has a pay as you go sim card in it you can track it online after texting it to activate it
  19. Thats one seriously old Suzuki jeep
  20. What tax class is it now - if it is currently taxed as private light goods or similar then should not make a difference
  21. as long as you qualify for the limited use tax class you want to change to it should just be a simple case of visiting your local office handing over your current tax disc for return and refund and filling in the relavent form to retax it with the new taxation class on it Probably worth taking your registration documents at the same time as i think change of tax class also has to be notified on that as well The info should be on the dvla website and you will be able to print and quote that when you go in to do it as quite often the local office is staffed by complete muppets
  22. It will be a problem for whatever is burrowing if it is still in there when you chuck it on to the fire and it gets an instant cremation
  23. Where abouts in the country are you - if east yorks area i will happily take it - any further transport is the problem for me
