  2. Evening all, Due to unexpected early sales this year I find myself in the position of not having enough wood to supply my customers for the rest of the winter:blushing:, Im assuming this is due to the cold snap last year where so many got caught out, does anyone know where I can buy some in to get me thru this year? Im located in South Devon, Nr Torquay. Thanks for your help in advance.

  11. Its a Devon thing! Getting these toffs to part with their money seems impossible, I quoted £300 to remove some Conifers not long back, I reckoned it would take a day with 2 chaps plus usual kit, I told the customer to which he replied "youll have to do better than that, ive already had a quote for £120!", My reply........Let em have it!.

PS - Do I need to re-set password?

  22. Ive got a Palax 600 combi, really good quick machine, not much can go wrong with these models so worth keeping an eye open for 1, good luck.
  23. I have a towable Kwikchip 120 Euroline, the only problem I have found is an electrical fault (heater plugs dont work), hasnt affected the general operation so I would have no problems reccomending one.
  24. I have found YP to be a waste of time, its a lottery whether you get the call or not, I am concentrating on local gazette type mags, better service and better responses.
  25. Processors are alot quicker than splitters but you are restricted to what you can do, for processors it needs to be reasonably straight and obviously be able to fit into your machine, Splitters will do anything, I would say if the wood youve got is straight(ish) ideally Coppice re-growth then Processor is the one for you.
