2. Hi all, just gone and split a fuel tank on my 357xp, anyone got a scrapper I could buy or reccommended anywhere I could get one, thanks.
3. I'll take some tomorrow, I'm due for some luck so hopefully you might be able to help, many thanks!
4. Worth nothing!! DANGEROUS! Get your dosh back.
5. So cherry picker still playing up, all functions from the ground control box run fine, problems arise when using control cox in basket, I have had an engineer to have a look at it and he seems to be under the impression it's the potentiometer, volts going in are at 4.9v, the working functions operate at 2.4v, and the non working functions are at 1.8v. He has been in contact with CTE and they advise a replacement of all 5 functions (they would!) at £250 each plus VAT!!, is there anything I can do ie:cleaning the potentiometer as forking out this amount of money will be a last resort. Are there any firms around that can recondition these potentiometers? For all those who gave advice previously many thanks! Any advice will be gratefully received. John
6. All the best with your new venture.
7. I haven't used it for a while so not sure, I don't remember it being so slow as it currently is, think I'm going to do an oil and filter change and go from there, do you recommend a particular oil?
8. Thanks for the advice, I will check.
9. Many thanks for the advice, unfortunately for me I'm miles away in Devon, if its the pump is this a costly repair?
10. I seem to be having a problem with my CTE cherry picker, to operate up, out and slew out is fine, but when you need to come back all actions are very slow, I have checked the hydraulic fluid level which is ok, I have yet to change the filter, I'm assuming that changing the filter won't make any difference due to the boom acting normally going up and out. If anyone has any experience with these machines or has come across the problem in their travels I would be grateful for any advice. Many thanks in advance. John. (Able fella)
11.
I'm having problems with my cherry picker, ctu 17.5 m, all of the operations to go up, out, and slew (out)work fine but to bring back are very slow, I've checked the hydraulic oil level and that was fine, haven't changed filter yet, any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

13. Try this earlier thread... Iveco crew cab tool staorage
14. I did trauma training about 5 years ago, our tutor was a retired surgeon for the Army, he told us not to mouth to mouth even then, he said this was due to the difficulty in getting a good technique and actually getting any oxygen in at all, he said that good compressions should draw in enough oxygen to do the job until the professionals arrive.
15. I'm in a similar situation, I only give the client my opinion going on experience, I wouldn't write a report for the simple fact I'm not qualified to do this and to be honest could mis-diagnose a trees health , if the client does require this for their records I would pass the job on to someone qualified, that's what their paid to do.
16. Austria in feb with the family, first time, can't wait!
17. I have a truck mounted MEWP, for my situation it was more beneficial to have something I could get one of the lads to drive, I think there are pros and cons to all MEWPS but you know where your work is, either way you only need to hire it out a couple of times a month and its paid for.
18. Worth giving KJ Thulborn a ring, have all you will need.
19. When I put my bill in customer said "wow I should have been a tree surgeon" , he hadn't banked on the fact I spotted his Aston Martin db7 in the garage! I informed him that if he had of become a tree surgeon he wouldn't be looking at that db7 but a ford transit! Since then I have also heard he's got a helicopter!
20. Too nice for logs! Better than my house!! Good work.

Completely agree with garden kit, what you may think only takes up a few hours here and there but it really doesn't, there's a considerable amount of training along with regular exercises, then depending on how busy your station is you've got 'shouts' to attend, where I was stationed we were one of the busiest in the uk, in the summer every weekend would be taken up towing some hoo rah Henry back because he's run out of fuel! I'm not trying to put you off but consider the commitment that will be expected of you, if you can give the time (no matter what time!) then go for it, great bunch of lads and lasses to work with and the boats are awesome! Good luck.
