  1. For some reason Arborists equipment seems to have overtook plant equipment and is certainly in fashion, I hope this doesn't continue but I have a feeling someone will post similar again next week. Please view my recent post on tracking systems, not a complete cure but its got to help & probably reduce premiums. Something has to be done to stop this escalating in this industry.
  2. The Bandit 250pto weighs 1700kgs where as the TP270 is 1400kgs but bear in mind the 250 is a 12" capacity chipper with a 12.5"x 19" opening. there are two other 12" models weighing 1550kgs & a 9" weighing 997kgs.
  3. Global Recycling have now been appointed as a dealer for supply & fitment of tracking units for all the UK, these units can be fitted to all mobile, plant equipment. The units are £400 + fitting & cost £100 per year to run, there is no restriction on make, model etc, they can be fitted to almost anything & swapped from one piece of kit to another as many times as you like. Fitted with a vibration sensor & tilt sensor you are notified when the machine is moved, you can tell if the ignition is switched on & hours are monitored. These are web based no no additional software required, you will be notified on most phones that your machine is moving and this can be tracked, even if the battery is flat there is a backup. Machines also have a remote shutdown option so with the push of a button your machine cannot be used, as a bonus parameters can be input (i:e- between 8 & 5) then your machine will not start outside this. This is good if you hire your equipment out & don't want it used over a weekend etc. I would suggest these are a reasonable investment & will help reduce insurance premiums. We ourselves have lost £250,000 worth of equipment this year hence looking into this. Anybody interested in this please PM me or call anytime. Dean 07730000498.
  4. was in Darlington todat delivering two new chippers & the yard was white over, must of had it for a couple of days as it was sheet ice, snowing whilst we were there.

  6. If that complies to just one of the new ETVA regs recently introduced I will buy one:lol:
  7. We had an 06 auto that had to have both front wheel bearings replaced, syptoms were knocking & whining when in full lock. I also have an 06 manual that has just done 147K, so far no failures at all but rattles, axle whines & every so often it revs up & down of its own accord. Perhaps it's only a matter of time.

  21. Outbreak: Ash dieback caused by Chalara fraxinea Found this from AFOR(association for organics recycling) saying they are in talks with DEFRA as to whether it will be possible to compost loppings, trimmings etc. It would be an alternative from burning if given the go ahead.
