  1. Which model of Farmi is it ? As far as I am aware all Ch250/260 10" farmis had 2 feed rollers ( there are two types of twin feed roller)so I am surprised to hear of a single feed roller one. It would help to have a free flow return if this is possible on a mog.
  2. I've just serviced a Dolmar Wildcat (1985). It needed the fuel pipe, carb diaphragm kit and the carb cleaned and the proper spark plug. It now starts and runs very well. It is in good condition and doesn't appear to have done much work. My mate bought it at an auction for £35.
  3. Its the small non return valve screwed into one of the gallerys in the 2 speed valve. It has 6 small holes drilled through it hence it looks like a pepper pot. Early versions used a ball and spring to do the same job. The valve part looks like a mushroom and is prone to wear. I also remember that a batch were not loctited which allowed this particular valve to unscrew its self.
  4. What tractor are you planning to fit the jake frame to? Most crane suppliers can source them for you.

Does anyone know what the Zetor tractor sold for?
  6. Your nearest dealer would be Halse at Honiton tel 01404 42121
  7. Hi I have an early 109 ( white limited edition) Engine wise it is ok, not used because choke assembly knackerd and parts are not available . Some starter parts have been removed. Will dig it out from under the bench and have a look. I may even have a new band. Will PM you if I have anything.
  8. Purely on chain size I agree. But even Husqvarna say that the 140 is for occasional/domestic use and the 435 is designed for regular professional use. I have experience of both and I know which is the best quality product.
  9. Go for the 435 it is a different saw to the 140 in terms of quality, is lighter and uses 325/050 chain. They are on offer in NI at £290 all in
  10. This is what the Husqvarna dealer price list (2012) says.Listed as a landowner/professional saw. Powerful and versatile professional saw. Featuring X-Torq, smart start and Low vib. Engine 70.7cc Power 3.6kW/ 4.83hp. The PNC code is 966428320.
  11. Avoid the E version of the Husqvarna. Buy the one with proper bar nuts and tensioner. At least thats my opinion!!
  12. Stihl HS45 from a client's son who ran it on straight petrol. New piston on order. Cylinder can be salvaged.
  13. Augmented Agents Ltd Manchester or Shoulders of Shorehm
  14. I can understand people sharpening their own blades in an emergency. But if you want the best performance from your chipper get the blades professionally sharpened to the manufacturers specification. With regard to blades being hollow ground, I have found that on Farmi chippers they chip better and with lower HP requirement (less fuel) when compared to bevel ground blades. I'm sure the manufactuers do them hollow ground for a reason!!
  15. Hi I too would appreciate a copy of any A55 manuals and particularly the engine manual as I have an A55 with a blown engine. I hope to repair/resusitate this in the near future. If any one has a complete engine I would be interested.
  16. I accept what you say but for farm/general use the price is also lower.
  17. They are now being imported by Midland Power in Worcester tel 01905763027 . If you cant get the part you require from them then PM me and I can source it from the Irish distributor.
  18. I've sold some of the 50cc 51.51 models. They are a little bit heavier than the equivalent Husky models but are very well put together and parts are easy to get (I have'nt needed much as yet). Can't speak about the smaller/top handled models.
  19. Some early GM220 chippers had too big a gap between the ends of the fly wheel discharge paddles and the fly wheel housing. We used to check this by sticking an old speaker magnet to the paddles and rotating the flywheel by hand. From memory the gap should be 5-8mm. If it exceeds this cut 3 identical pieces of 10mm x50 mm flat steel bar so that the balance is unaffected and weld onto the ends of the flywheel paddles to reduce the clearance to a more acceptable gap. This will work wonders for discharge and reducing blockages.
  20. The price sound high for a 14 year old saw. They were't wonderful even when new.
  21. Its the lightest Husky available and is a proper made in Sweden Husqvarna. It would be ideal for your proposed use.
  22. Make sure that the chain is the correct guage for the bar (should be 0.58). This problem is nearly always caused by uneven sharpening between lh and rh cutters.
  23. Has any one experience of FAE v Seppi mulchers? We are looking at a flail machine for gorse clearance. does anyone have experience of this?
  24. A 13 hp engine wont run a 72l/min pump. As regards oil tank size aim for twice the flowin L/Min ie 20l/m pump 40l tank. Use big diameter pipe work an avoid sharp bends.
  25. Hi I too am a christian. And Hawthorn pretty much expresses my views.
