  1. Dean, do you just dump the chips ? Here in Belgium woodchips are used as biofuel in powerplants etc. Pascal
  2. Just what I thought, cleaning up a mess is expensive !! Pascal
  3. Picture in you mind the position of the cap when closing, and practice a few times. I had the same problem when I bought 2 new MS200. After some practice I never had a problem anymore, but don't overfill the oil tank... Pascal
  4. I have my M300 for about 5 years, it has run over 400 hours now. The only trouble i had was a piece of metal the came loose from the bottom of the filler and smashed the knifes and anvil. Took pictures and emailed them to the manufacturor. One week later all parts were delivered at home for free ! A new set of knives, anvil and filler Speaking of service...oh yeah, it was more than 2 years old so passed warranty. I will never buy anything else but a JoBeau ! Pascal
  5. I use this one : Portable Capstan Rope Winch, Chain Saw Model!!! NEW!!! - eBay (item 190368426801 end time Feb-02-10 07:50:54 PST) Works pretty good to pull over trunks in small gardens where vehicle acces is impossible. It is limited to 10 mm rope. I also use it to pull machinery (like a Jo Beau chipper) on the trailer...saves your back ! Pascal
  6. Take an extra set of knives with you, might need them. I refuse to chip bamboo when a customer asks ; I just load it on the trailer and dump it at the recycling park. Pascal
  7. I saw this one in the weaponshop : Carl Walther Sportwaffen GmbH Rasorsharp and great matt black finish, price 25,00 euro Pascal
  8. I think most can say that this one has been quite challenging, but hopefully rewarding too. Well, I must say...economical crisis or not...I had a good year, like people want to spend their money on trees. Good investment ! Pascal
  9. About 100 pound or euro is the normal price. Imagine the labour needed to make these, they are definately worth it. I wear similar ones for motorbiking, and it prevents sever ear damage from the wind noise. I also wear them in the summer for treework, less warm than earcuffs. Cost : 105,00 eur. Pascal
  10. great video, this guy knows how to calculate the falling ratio. All logs flat on the ground. Top ! Pascal
  11. Marc, I use the wolf pole with a hook to attach the rigging rope to the end of the branches. I had to rig down small pieces on one side of the tree, because there was a gardenhouse of the neighbours underneath. I use a hithclimber on the high tie-in point and a second rope with a simple prussic to go out far on the branches. The other thing you see next to the pole (picture taken against the light ) is my drinking bottle, I like Aquarius ! Pascal
  12. After the biggest logs were sawed, the owner and his neighbour digged it out. Showing off their skills !!! P.
  13. Went allright...rigged it all down
  14. Hi, just a few pics of me removing a big poplar. Diameter on the stump 1.1 m. It could not be felled in one piece because it would have fallen in a Willow in the garden. Took it down in about 4 hours, and an additional 2 hours sawing logs. Could leave all the wood there, the owner will split and chip everything. :confused1:He also made the pics. Pascal
  15. New customers often ask : "do you charge less if you take the firewood?" Heard that a 100 times before..... Pascal
  16. Well, when it rains, more than when its dry Pascal
  17. Looking at the piles of sawdust, he is doing this all day long. Good fittness alternative Pascal
  18. The same f%%%ing weather here in Belgium, but it should get better by the end of next week. I hope so because I have to climb end fell a big one Pascal
  19. Just got a new Sip Progress, worked one day with it and it did not annoy me, so thats a good sign. The outher fabric is stretch, good for climbing. Pascal
