    slightly off topic driving down a single-track country lane yesterday a bloke walking down the middle with his back to me, got up to him about 4 foot away followed him for about 2 minutes i could see he had ear buds in. in the end i had to blow the horn at him

    before I saw the photos, I thought they would show 30 ft trees but it's just a hedge that has not been toped for about three years. cut them off about 5 ft up from the ground dig round them and pull them out, get rid of the ivy and then repoint the settlement cracks in the wall.

    took me 10 minutes to get off my drive this morning it was like a motorway it became obvious when i got to the main road tree down across the road, by the time I got back it had all been cleared everything gone apart from the stump and a small pile of chip. well done to whoever did the job
