  9. i thinkyour price is good, sounds like your the same as me i mostly do domestic work, with a standard rate of 350 for 2 poeple and chipper 8 hours a day, give or take some depending on the job. Somepoeple are very happy, others keep going till they find someone to do it for less. dont worry about it, cause there isnt much we can do.

  12. well i rang stihl and he gave me a part number for a heavy duty filter its the same but with a extra foam bit around the outside as someone mentioned above. No freebeies though:thumbdown:

  14. Does any body know if you can get, and if so where, a breathable hi vis t shirt, I currently use a helly hanson dry. Which is exellent for keeping cool, but i am after a hi vis one of the same material so i dont have to wear a vest over it. Thanks
  15. thanks for the advice guys. It wasn't bad on the outside of the filter ill double check for cracks and the seal. its pretty new though hasn't had a chance to wear really and i keep on top of the maintenance. Ill try again if not get in touch with stihl. thanks
  16. I just cleaned out my ms 460, which is regulary cleaned (every2-3uses) and i took off the air filter and was suprised to see how dirty it was behind. Does anybody else have this poroblem. If so do you know if it is faulty or just how this saw works? Thanks
  17. Im looking at getting a pair, there advertised as type A, but i was wandering if they also cover the rear lower leg as well for climbing. So i was hoping someone could tell me. Thanks
  18. Im doing and so is my friend who is in the same position, where are you thinking of doing it to? I would go for it, the only way you'll really know. I would imagine a lot of after work studying though so depends how much you want it its never going to be a walk in the the park

  23. I where still type c. However when im doing silky pruning i where some nice cool cotton dickies combats, makes you keep a eye out where your legs are more, knowing there not protected even against a wee harmles handsaw
  24. that looks like the best as i could make one, maybe with three holes in it. It is dam boring filling them up, so i started doing it with a beer and a radio in the evening. Much better
  25. would you have ant rought plans on how to make one? i'd love to give it a go. I have the 25" mill on my ms460 all i've done with it so far is make blanks for wood turning so fancy something a little more exiteing. Thanks
