  1. well done. did you get to look round the grounds while you were there? theyve got some amazing chestnuts round at the staff entrance.

  5. a very worthwhile thread. im sure we all have our moans about the amount of red tape surrounding ours and others industries but lets not let this sway our attention from common sense, the one thing that could make all the difference. be aware and take care.

  9. open one of the doors and stick a baking tray in front to block the spits? then when its finished burning dont put any more pop on you naughty boy!
  10. ive got the stein and find it a better fit than other helmets ive used, easier to adjust and more comfortable. plus it has side impact protection now(think thats just on plasma tc version/super plasma?). and lets face it, whatever helmet you wear your head is going to get hot!

  12. certs are deffinately gonna be an advantage but understandably cost is goin to be an issue. just dont give up, keep ringing round people. im not saying pester them but just let them know youre still about, you never know there be something now that wasnt available last time you tried. the fact youve got experience is great so express that and you might find someone willing to put you through your tickets, and dont be to proud to except a simple dragging job(it could get you a foot in the door!). i had been trying for months with no luck but from posts and threads and persaverance i made some contacts here on arbtalk and now i have just secured a full time position. dont give up, and good luck:thumbup1:
  13. good luck for tommorow, just do your revision then on the day take your time and think about what youre doin, dont rush theyre not interested in how fast you are. most importantly relax and enjoy it:thumbup1:

  19. nice! i have done this before with chainlink for big limbs, just remember to leave enough room for growth. nice to see an alternative solution than just hacking the tree out!

  21. happy birthday to plippy(phill) who wont get his official arbtalk happy birthday for another 2 years as he is one of the unfortunates/fortunates (which ever way you look at it) who was born on feb 29th. so happy "8 1/2th" birthday mate:sneaky2:
