  13. just seen your post on my rock/wall thread, i see the stockbridge humour is shining through! welcome to the site, good to have you on onboard mate.
  14. congratulations.
  15. nice one matty, it looks like the tree has melted over the wall!
  16. happy new year to you too, and a happy new year to all other arbtalkers. all the best for 2010!
  17. nice one phill:thumbup1: i saw your post on micks thread and mick rung me yesterday. should be good, will see you there.
  18. if you decide to give it a go first think about what you are goin to be mostly using it for then draw a design on paper that best suits that purpose, consider blade length, shape, angle etc. remember handle design will play a part in the ease of use of the knife...... i could go on. cut out your design and lay it on your chosen piece of metal then cut and shape. something like a dremmel is ideal for this. try not to let the metal heat up too much as it can alter the stucture and strength of the metal. i'm trying not to get too technical and detailed but i hope this gives you an idea:thumbup1: ps look at other designs for ideas and be patient when making it:001_smile:
  19. don't know if this will be any use but it might at least give you insperation. i made this from a worn out old diamond circular saw blade. making your own you can customise it to the purpose you intend to use it for.
  20. come on, someone do the bunny rabbit!
  21. i don't know much about rigging and using cranes but that looked very impresive:thumbup1: same question as sbtc, how did you get your rigging ropes out so far?
  22. not sure what you mean by torsional but from what i could see no obvious damage at all. my guess is that the wall was originally built up to either side of tree and the tree has just grown around it.
  23. foul play:001_tt2:but great find all the same:thumbup:
  24. you don't get out of it that easy, now grab that camera and off you go:001_tongue:
