  12. After pondering over a new zoom lens for my D60, I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the 150-500 sigma zoom is a tad out of my price range. So its down to a 2x teleconverter. so £230+ for a genuine nikon, or £80 for a Jessop's one? Any differences in build/quality of picture?
  13. Definatly use a guide in the workshop to get things pucka. So in the field, the chances are small if you need to sharpen at all. but a couple of gentle free hand strokes should be more than enough.
  14. I understand the requirement for cs38/aerial rescue now dictates a compulsory pole rescue, with a friction bollard and not a flying capstan?
  15. Id say after recent events (7.7 et al) just buy another one.
  16. A few years ago, the husky was stripped down and re-designed from scratch. It lasted two minutes in the reviews!! Stihl all the way!!
  17. You are all about right! The idea is there is no sprocket in the nose of carving bars, and coupled with the tight radius means it gets very hot very quickly! it basicaly works the same as a regular hard-nose bar (stihl duromatic) but its just more "pronounced" (that was a big word!!)

  21. Hi All!! Im putting together a powerpoint presentation on personal injuries sustained in the world of arboriculture. I find with the people i teach now and future students tend to be very complacent about relying too much on ppe to stop injuries instead of using their common sense to avoid the situation in the first place. (Assuming they actualy bother to turn up in full dress) Im after any pictures of accidents, and a little story about where, why, how it happened. Preferably work related, ie - cuts, broken bits, The more gruesome bloody and disgusting, The Better!!!!!! just send me a pm, Thanks
