    Ticks!

I got a few in Botswania whilst out there working, had to go to the med tent, i stood naked and star shaped in an air conditioned tent whilst the medics put vaseline on me. They found 96 ticks. I was then sent out of the air con back into the heat and it just ran off my body. A few years later i got another 1 and removed it with the pliers on my Leatherman (not recommended)
  2. Had a similar problem with mine. take the control panel off, you should see 2 relays, 1 is the activation relay for the fuel solanoid, you should feel it click when you press the over ride button, the other is the holding relay that keeps the solanoid open. any dramas give greenmech tech a call Darren
  3. I like that idea, so will the groundy.
  4. Had the same trouble last year. No more than 50hrs use, same can/mix used for all my other saws. I needed a new pot, piston, coil and something stihl forgot to mention, an extra bit of gizmo on the de-compression button that i think they forgot to put on that years saws... Came to about £550 plus labour. I was told that it was my fault for having the wrong mix? I am pretty staunch when it comes to my mixes.
  5. Do you plan on taking them off after the winter period or sticking with them all year round.
  6. Titus Pompilius Brutus Does that mean I'm a t!t and a pompeus brute????
  7. I really fancy a set of the kingpin hilanders but have been scared off. I have been told by tyres direct that they wont fit on my 04 Iveco daily. 195/65r16c Has any one got a set on theirs and if so what is the outcome. Do they rub, how many miles do you get. I was told to only expect 3000 miles from them thanks in advance

  9. I Find some of the negative comments amusing. I wonder if some opinions would change if they were to receive a call at 7am ish asking how much for a bag of logs. Just a thought. Its the only chance I get to have a lie in.
  10. The best advice has been said. Go back to the UK. Get your 30, 31 Unless you have someone with you that knows the dangerous end of a chainsaw and can pick faults with how you use it, you will never learn how to use it safely.
  11. I Have helped a pensioner out with the basics. What's that handle that wobbles at the front for? Chain brake mate My farmer friend sharpened my saw for me but its still not that good. That's because he has taken your depth gauge down and not sharpened the cutting edge. I can spend a morning doing my own basic maintenance and chin wagging. I always end up ordering extra bits when I do an order from Jonesie for the said pensioners. I would get a bottle of pino and a cake form a grateful wife that doesn't like hubby using a chainsaw. It passes the time and is good for customer relations.
  12. Watching and adding to this one Stu. I was passed from pillar to post and ended up with the chambre d'agricole because a tree comes from the agricultural land????? Also, i was only able to get insurance by showing quals. Could this be another case of different communes and mairies????
  13. In the same boat, looking at a new 190t.
  14. The cheapest option has got to be snow chains. Bit of a pain to fit at times but gives the grip you want. As said before though, once a wheel starts spinning your stuck. I also keep a few barrow loads of chip in the back to give it a bit more traction. Good luck
  15. Don't black taxi cabs(H:confused1:ackney) need to carry a hay and shovel
  16. You need to put the other pics up Stu. Beautiful work Thanks for the Bressuire job by the way. Dont you just love cables.
  17. Thats about 1 1/2 hours from me. How high is the surrounding area. What height would give privacy to the pool?
  18. Bob the builder PPE. Think safety!!! 2 years old and starting to carve, cant find a harness to fit him yet.
