1. He is my father in law's cousin. So down to earth. The last time he was offered it, he steered clear saying the over paid actors weren't good enough and it could end his career. I hope he doesn't take it.

Hi Stu

Couldn't agree more, all he wants to do is work and work some more. I would love a couple of guys like him full time. Just done 6 quotes this weekend much to his disapproval at not being able to work another Saturday. I need time for quotes and maintainance though.

How's work up north.

 6. Sounds like France as well. Ifor UK want £226 for a coc, but they will only send it for certain models for trailers built in a certain year.
 7. Stu I got pulled by the gendarme for speeding a couple of years ago and was told to change my licence due to being a full time resident. When we went to the prefecture I was concerned I would loose my grandad rights. When my French licence came back, they had stamped it to drive everything up to 12000kg including bus, space ships and prams. It might be worth a visit before you take the plunge. Darren
 8. Was it cheap because they put the letters on back to front??😆
 9.

Out of the blue question for you.

Have you still got that collection of old top handles, I'm after a piston and barrell for a 200t.

Cheers

 11. Thats a serious first chipper. Nice one. Upgraded to a 2007 65xl last month. It has transformed the way we work. The only down side is chip truck gets full too quick.
 12. I'm about an hour and 15 mins west of Limoges (87) airport.
 13. You was about when centurion was a rank, not a tank:001_tt2:
 14. Nice one stu.
 15. You might have to go the mouse to house route mate.
 16. Stu, I always offer grinding as an option/service. Dave always gets the job. Likewise if he is out on other jobs and gets asked about trees, it comes my way. We have a very loyal gentleman's agreement. We could rip each other off for a few hundred euro but it would lose us thousands in a year to break that trust/bond. Dean that is awsome service for a potentially new client.
 17. Mr Cropper, There is no such thing as a dry site, just your lack of admin. The machine looks and sounds sweet, and will make your body ache less, increase your working life and your gut. Once you get used to it you will be as productive I'm sure.
 18. You say the guy is not a tree surgeon, so even with your limited experience you know a lot more about the climbing aspect of the job. I am going to stick my neck out and say that you are hoping to get more work from him, he probably knows this and is going to try and manipulate you and your inexperience. The fact that you have posted the question tells me that you have concerns. My best advice is to tell him how you will do it, not how he wants you to do it. I have know got to the stage when people ask me if I can just drop that tree that's leaning towards there house I say yes, which part of the roof do you want it on. Go with your gut instinct, you have an in built survival mode. Stay safe
 19. Where is this years French championship mate?
 20. When I registered they accepted the nptc/city and guilds quals at the chamber du commerce and also axa said it was ok as proof of competence my insurances.
 21. Nice one mate Is this commune or private.
 22. How about a 6" tracked and 9" road tow with 5 tonne trucks and 3.5 tonne tipping trailers stu. You can mix and match for jobs easier. Best of both worlds. Darren
 23. The English search is OK, the French one is crap.mainly due to the french pages just being pages on an English website. We are in the process of changing it all to fit in with the French.
 24. Very nice site, you need to get any firm that is ranked higher than you to link with you. For example, amazon, BBC, ITV, etc If they link you but you don't link to them you will get more tokens in the rating. I think that's how it works. Arbtalk is bigger than me and an asset to my ranking. Hope this makes sense.
