  1. Many people go for a really cheap product called `Ce Lit` sold in sachets .. in a previous life I used to sell loads over Radweld. Never tried either though so its Suck it and See.
  2. A machine to lift a little ring like that onto the splitter we would put one of those twice that size under each arm to carry to split
  3. Delivered a load to a lady today who has been out of logs for a month because her usual supplier had ran out. She told me that I am cheaper and she will now be buying from me I would have rather she had phoned me in a week and said that my product is better so she will now be buying from me
  4. I am sure that if the vat man so desired he would have you on that one. I have known him point out that a free normally vatable item given away with a zero rated item eg. a free plastic toy with a zero rated magazine should incur vat at the higher rate.
  5. If it was my post you were referring to Steve its still the same.
  6. Always when I log out and click back on the site it shows me as still being logged in until I click on a title ..... I wondered whether this is because I click on Arbtalk in `My favourites` to log in.
  7. WRONG ... even if you get your wood for free the labour and storage involved to make a quality product warrants £100 a cube ..... in my humble opinion
  8. This also happened to me for a couple of days this week
  9. I dont want to burst any bubbles here but my serious advise would be to find one that you can use rather than go into debt to make the purchase.
  10. You just need a fat lass to go to bed with, sorted
  11. It looks like the `Have you got any logs left?` question from my customer was not unwarranted .... I am now selling to one of my competitors who is right out of stock and with no sign of more coming in.
  12. Sex Logs??? Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear, I cringe to think what they were looking for
  13. Thats pretty rubbish for you `Rover 90` just as you should be hitting your busiest month ... hope you find someone to cover deliveries whilst you heal.
  14. Its when you said you were getting him bike tyres .... I know Ron and Ann Haslam and their race school at Silverstone is an excellant experience especially if you do the pillion ride on the back of Ron
  15. I`m not short of stock .... its a little hard to calculate at the moment ... the bl**dy stuff is everywhere .. I`m even wholesaling to one of my competitors now
  16. Only started selling this winter ..... I`ve spent a whole year learning from all the wise old sages on Arbtalk
  17. Getting repeat orders. I supply local pub and they tell me that people comment on the quality. One of my first customers put a letter in with her posted cheque saying `thanks for the lovely wood`. But I did take the care to not start to sell until 13 months after I first started the business in order to ensure that the logs are seasoned ....... unlike some

  21. But how would I pay the Butler, Chauffeur, Groundsman, Gardener, Cook and Handyman on that sort of wage
  22. Insurance Depreciation ( equipment and vehicles ) Storage costs for at least 1 year cut and split Clothing Costs of taking stock to yard Banking costs Telephone Etc etc etc
