  10. 6 or 7 branches to rig off and then a good chog down, easy day for 3 or a harder day for 2
  11. yes but if it is the machine i suspect they probably sold it to the current owner
  12. yes it sounds quite a lot, but considering you should be able to get 5 years use and probably still be worth 3k once it is nearly worn out. I also would not worry too much about the hours as the clocks tend to break or get disconnected, mine had 1650 hours on clock before the wire fell off a couple of years ago and it still runs fine. The kubota v1505 engine will run forever if you maintain it properly. Keep the knives sharp and grease her up regular.
  13. hi i run the same machines thge only thing i would have against the one your looking at is that the infeed shute is the old type, jams more often and a little slower to feed. Great for domestic works as easy to push and alan is decent chap to deal with
  14. are they really that bad? should i be looking at a stihl instead? I have a mix of both brands anyway always liked the little husq for everyday use on ground. ms200 was the only stihl i liked on the ground but is a silly price
  15. Never sold one as yet, a few dead ones lying about that i will repair one day maybe My 346xp has started to become a bit bad tempered during warm starts, was thinking of buying a 550xp?
  16. thats still a baby, not even reached a good mature form
  17. undercut is not required on mp also every branch gets knocked off on way up, also seen a good tree surgeon ton of chip off the bottom 2 branches
  18. easiest tree to dismantle for the climber, god help the lads on the ground its nasty resinous and spikey
  19. wire cutters at entry point to clients house before you start, one of the rare occasions i use a ladder, then waterproof bt crimps afterwards, 2 min job
  20. guess i might have got that one right.
  21. maybe cut leaf european beech, poss with reversion but leaves vary loads on same tree.
  22. chin chin good advice!! Bolam, you would fit it well up here mate.
  23. How much should i charge? Well that depends how good your works are, how quick your works are, how well trained your customers are, how much your overheads are and how much you wish to earn?
  24. is not virgin timber so therefor classed as green waste.
  25. I have not seen the site but my first thought was would you get to it on rope and harness with a freshly sharpened alpine stump grinder. Start it before you descend and then let the chips just roll down the bank. then spray what you cannot grind with roundup biactive. regards andy
