  1. log grabs will dig more dirt, you will get less with brash grab but this will not be completely clean if feeding chipper brash grab will be better/ cleaner, in my experience you will always get some dirt or worse! when feeding chipper with crane, some are less rounded and hold less timber check out the capacity and compare, saw these at elmia this year, good luck

  18. above talked about sale the lt 20went for bargain price of 6800 + 5% buyers fee , bunded 2000 ltr tank 2011 with electric pump and meter 560 ish, old cooks winch front loader county? sold near 5000, I thought farm sales all v high prices but still a bargain to be had , timber sold for silly low prices very disappointing, but good for the purchaser !
  19. 3 to 4 m3 to the tonne , with dry wood i.e. fuel woodchip at 4m3 per tonne

  21. ah to late , there is a range of mulcher that will dig to your required depth similar to the type used to regrade stone tracks and some using tarmac type teeth, it may be possible to raise skids or remove skids to get the depth you require it depends on how hard the ground is
  22. Nick as above best to winrow roots and work with 360 on site , important to get size of rows correct to get best productivity from mulcher , I shoot myself in the foot here but can you burn on site? call pm or shout , cheers j
