  2. Today's job sitting under the palm trees with a cold beer!
  3. I'm here on holiday and seen several tree men at work, hedge maintenance and even a firewood truck on my first day.
  4. That could be interesting if it gets stuck on a knot! Do they have a reverse? It's a PITA when my small cone gets jammed.
  5. Why do it per the hr? I assess the job and roughly work out how long it will take if it will take 4hrs and I need to earn £150 day the price would be £75.00
  6. I must confess I have gone back over to regular fuel in the strimmers , blowers hedgecutters just running Aspen in the 200T and 550 it was costing £25.00+ a day in the brushcutter which I couldn't justify.
  7. Steve on here does good quality kindling he's not that local but worth a trip out with a Luton van or similar IMO
  8. Yes your right thanks, I spoke to DVLA this morning and was very impressed with them! They are faxing my details over to the car hire firm for £5.00 and posting me a replacement license. So all sorted :-)
  9. I don't think 'cheap insurance' exists for the under 25's! Try adding an older named driver to the policy it brought my premium down a bit. Have you got any other policies ie tractor, public liability other vehicles etc? I switched all mine to nfu and they gave me an introductory 60% NBC on the new policy. Best of luck.
  10. I have still got my old licence where the picture expired, would my driver licence number be the same? I am going to call Dvla in the morning they have an office in Chelmsford. I'm off to Spain for a fortnight, thanks for the info.
  11. I'm off on Hols beginning of next and went to book car hire today and it appears I have lost both bits of my license. Does anyone know if you can get a replacement license quickly online they say 10 days which is too long. Any ideas??
  12. Maybe she is single and has no siblings? Good post IMO :-)
  13. I don't get it, what are they laughing at?

  16. No i did not realise it had been posted earlier or i wouldnt have listed, Oh well...
  17. Oh how did i know this question would come up I clicked on tree surgeon and it came up so to speak
  18. Whos guilty!! Second Hand Unwashed Tree Surgeons Kermit Boxers | eBay
  19. Mine seemed to run slower on Aspen and also cut out simply rectified by adjusting the 3 screws (my dealer set mine up).
  20. They are fairly easy to manoeuvre on your own but also pretty heavy if you need to lift it. I made a cheap trailer for mine to fit in.
  21. Under the 'law on premises liability act' you have a duty of care. Crazy!
  22. It would be so easy to give it up but it just carries me through those quieter cold months and if I'm honest I enjoy it in a strange way.
  23. Price per job, depends if they want a weekly or fortnightly cut I normally do weekly a bit cheaper as less grass to take away and normally much quicker as not so thick. I have several small lawns in one area I charge £15.00 each and they take 20 mins each so £45hr not bad for cutting grass!
  24. I doubt very much you would lift it maybe 4 people could? You could lift the wheels over door frames etc but physically lifting / carrying I would say no.
