  1. Shanks, do folks burn a lot of wood up there? I thought peat was more thing? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  2. The bit that does the damage are the seams or studs of back trouser pockets. Especially if there is something in the pockets. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  3. To remove the mould, tip all the logs outside and leave them exposed to wind rain and sun for a week. Then re store as described above. The mould will disappear. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  4. Catweazle, does haulage of your own goods only come under the same heading as "tools of the trade". I.e. not carrying others goods for reward....in this instant the own goods being firewood. Will this get me off the requirement for a tacho if within 50km of base.? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  5. Understood. Done it once....never again. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  6. Exhaustive and definitive answer:thumbup: thanks. So a single cab transit tipper is not dual purpose. So thus far my understanding is i can tow my atlas trailer (unladen weight 990kg) as long as its payload is no more than about 1260kg. Assuming a payload of 1200kg back of truck this would make the whole combination 5750 kg as per the plated gtw on the truck. I could also presumably load the trailer only with 2460kg if the truck was empty. so the question remains does this combination require a tacho and or o licence. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  7. Thanks for posting Peter. It seems this is a get out of jail card for me and many others. I take it to mean that aslong as the actual gross weight of the combination does not exceed the gtw on the towing vehicle plate then you are fine. However, if my combination is legal weight( I.e. on or just under 5750 kg) wise is there still an o licence and or tacho requirement and 50km rule. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  8. Pm sent. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  9. Mesterh Can you repost the copy you have succesfully downloaded? I might just have an issue with original posted by peter. Or it might be just my samsung galaxy ace phone not liking it. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  10. What does "dual purpose" mean. I would say my transit tipper is goods vehicle albeit a light one. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  11. Peter Cant seem to get it open. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  12. If you sell firewood only two types of wood matter....wet and dry:) http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  13. Starting to get confused now:) I have an atlas tipping trailer Unladen 990 kilos Loaded 3500 kg Payload 2510kg Presume I cant tow this as the payload is about 260kg too much. Is this right? Can I replate the trailer ? If so what weights need to be shown. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  14. 2300kg http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  15. You have a gang problem in nz? you have shocked me . I always thought nz was as genteel as frinton on sea. Is it like LA or a bit less frought? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  16. Someone told me b4 xmas that larch sawlogs were fetching £31.5 to £33.5 per ton up here dependent on size. No idea if this is correct. That was roadside. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  17. Thanks sam. Is the plate on the trailer used to ascertain the 2250kg limit? If I go beyond 50km what is the weight limit without tacho or o licence? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  18. Did you get caught too steve with endowements? I got rogered to the tune of £40k. I will never ever trust a bank or insurance co again. They are scum. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  19. You are right...there is a risk of displacing paid posts but there are many socially useful tasks that can be done without that problem. If such a scheme were introduced my guess is that a big percentage of claimants would melt away and get a real job leaving the ones that were honest and trying hard to benefit from the system. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  20. No problem...the benefit is the pay. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  21. Ok. I have a transit tipper 90 bhp 3.5 tonner gross. I also have a pre 97 licence. Plate on truck shows: Front axle...1550 kg Rear axle...2450 kg Gross 3500 kg Another figure gtw? Of 5750 kg. My question is what can I legally tow with and without a tacho and with and without an o licence? I only carry my own goods and sometimes go beyond 50km from base. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  22. The real problem is not the cash amounts given out it is the something for nothing culture. If you are single and childless and ablebodied you should not get any benefits....just get a job. For others you should have to perform some socially useful task like picking up litter or dog poo or assisting in old peoples homes or schools until you get a job. I.e. you have to do something for your money. It is difficult for women with kids but the state should provide fulltime child care foc to those who want to work and contribute to society. Most l.a.s only provide 2.5 hrs a day foc for under 5s which is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Also as the govt needs to focus less on "jobs" and more on kickstarting new businesses. As many on here know all the govt wants to do with small business owners and entrepreneurs is kick them to death with taxes and regulations. My 2p worth... http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  23. Also worth getting the charges checked against your tarrif for errors or fraud. There are firms who will do this on a no win no fee basis. Systematic Overcharging was common place on business accounts in the 90s & 00s. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  24. If the debt comes from consumer rather than business loans it is worth checking the loan contract. Many contracts prior to 2007 had illegal terms that broke the consumer credit act these contracts are not enforceble in law and therefore the lender has no legal right to demand repayments or interest. You may be lucky. Cab or a solicitor should be your first port of call. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
