    Why...

If the ice, over land masses, melts - more melt water will run off the land and into the oceans - sea levels will rise. Think of the ice cube melting on your hand and then running into your glass.
  2. What about Gorse?
  3. No, but getting older does.
  4. I didn't know that. So can you occupy someone else's car as you would a park bench?

    Big shot

I was once hit with half an apple launched from a Big Shot!

    Big shot

I use a Big Shot but have given up on the cube and now use a garden trug instead. I've got three trugs that sit inside each other - saving space and keeping contents steady. One trug holds a shot line, the other holds an access rope and the third has a climbing line in it.
  7. Don't try to get a testicle into each leg strap!
  8. I've tried the TreeMotion and own a Sequoia SRT. I'll second Steve Bullman's comment on size comparison - I'm small and found that the Treemotion covers too much of my lower back. The Sequoia seems to fit nicely.
  9. What did they mean by 'unusual'?
  10. Baby wipes.
  11. You must have to put the spikes on at the very base of the tree as walking any distance would be nearly impossible.
  12. Yeah - sometimes that's two different things! In the first photo - was the 'gap' on the lower left crown due to earlier limb removal?
  13. It's a friction hitch that some use as an alternative to the VT you're familiar with. See the Knot Guide at the top of the page.
  14. I use the same set-up with Imori but with one difference - I use 10mm OP and it fits well with the Imori. The OP is stiffer than some of the other options but the knobbly surface of the Imori compensates.
  15. I second that.
  16. What 10mm kit are you talking about, exactly? I climb on Imori.
  17. Yes, I have in the past - but with a maillon in place of the blue krab. (that fencing might be a bugger to top, though)
  18. Size 4? Are you sure you've got toes aswell? Welcome, by the way.
  19. Feeding trough for camels.
  20. I know your sort, Treemon. I'll give you a tenner - not a damned penny more!
  21. Power NI. I was talking to a few of their climbers a few weeks ago. They were standing beside a new Defender-mounted mewp (£46,000)! Seemingly there's plenty of contact work going - must be money somewhere. They're also changing from Stihl to Hus ..... you know - the other one.
  22. Who's it with? NIE?

    A taste of BC

It's great to hear from you, Reg. Business as usual I see!
  24. Neat work, but will it roll forward and crush the sitter (Indiana Jones style)?
  25. Ah, that's why I've never come across the advantage. You used the word "speed"! I'll have to hurry up a bit!
