  5. will do in future, but the image is of rohan cutting wood on our home page, and i think putting a watermark across it would make the web page messy ii have emailed them firmly, but politely asking them to take it off their website and theyve sent me back a really snotty email asking me all sorts of questions as to why i think they cant use it:sneaky2:
  6. we'll be there demoing for the fuelwood stand, and supplying with timber/labour and in return lots of beer and bbq and lovely logs
  7. thanks lindis, I (Mrs. L.) took the pics, its of Rohan cutting firewood with his japa, and this other co. has blatantly put it on their firewood site - thing is Rohans in his RMY polo shirt! i own the image, its even on the homepage of our website:sneaky2: thanks for all your support and help with this, saw it in bed last night while i was just googling and panicd
  8. i know the pics have been taken off flikr, but i thought you couldnt download them without asking permission first, or you set on the flikr preferences that you will allow licencing of your photos - i have not and kept all rights over my photos, i guess someone has either screen grabbed them or linked to flikr page?
  9. just googled some pics of ours and found another company using them blatantly on their website, dont even know who they are - i have emailed them asking them to remove them asap - anybody had this done to them, or what is the legal situation?
  10. i always put mine next to the commode so i know where i left them:blushing:
  11. sounds like a good place to start, chainsaw and log splitter - defo we use Bag Supplies Penrith (Maurice Wilson) and medallion nets not sure what deliv charge would be to ireland as for prices in euros:confused1: sorry mate, if you know the conversions, around here price for artic of hardwood about 12" diametre between £40-£50 delivered in and you could work on if you fill a net bag with green hardwood 45x60cm nets we get in about 12ish logs, each sack and we work on about 400kgs of timber for 50 nets of logs good point to remember zak, most nets are NOT UV stable, we stack outside to dry in the early spring etc, then cover in summer with breathable tarps, covers etc to further allow drying, if you dont the nets will just detoriorate away - or put in a good airy barn all the best, from my sickbed mrs.logbaron:thumbup:
  12. tell us a abit about yourself mate, what have you got at the moment? - what are you struggling with? ill try and advise if you could be more specific as to your needs and wants, as its no good advising on big processors if you havent got a tractor etc. are you looking into this just as splitting with axe and saw or whatever? will try and help, but suffering with tonsilitis and feel like death warmed up, so dont feel the best
  13. will try and be more tolerant - suffering from tonsilitis, kids got it, crying kids - no sleep - will try to be more tolerant, crying kids no sleep, sore throat, feel like death warmed up - will try and be more tolerant................ now what was it you asked?

  16. will post some pics of our oil drum creation that the lads have fabricated - no spit on it yet, but watch this space
  17. the kiln dried poplar big company "C......yW...d" i believe pack thers in cardboard boxes, but these are then wrapped in plastic - what about some sort of recycled board box type carton?
  18. but again, lets get firewood as any other product sold at a consistant measure and sell by volume - what size are these builders bags??? can the customer get a comparison from one merchant to another, no i would say, as one sells by the "builders bag" and one sells by the cube and one sells by the ton - aaaarrrggghh we give ourselves a bad name if we cannot get this right - trading standards would have a field day im sure and in any other industry/retail it would not happen
  19. thats a possible, im not an arb expert (mrs Logbaron)- Mr. Logbaron is the Arb, im hort.- will check with him, but thats true for alot of plants i.e. peonies dont like disturbance
  20. just what we thought, i think come Jan. when 20% vat kicks in its going to be a massive downturn in everything, fuels prices sky high and very little work for very few:confused1:

  23. certainly will be an asset, and i would imagine you could really have this as a Big feather in your cap - as manys the times we could have had a bat officer/arb keep up the good work man - your getting somewhere towards where you want to be im guessing and feeling a bit more fulfilled about the journey:thumbup:
