  6. hiya mate, what i have done in the past is use an old length of climbing rope big enough to go around the base of the tree, use a timber hitch to fix to the tree, on one end of the rope use a double fishermans knot to attach a steel krab, then get your groundie to tie a munter hitch in the rigging line and then clip your krab into the hitch when your ready to rig a bit out. the beauty of the munter hitch is that it's free running one way but when you pull it up it locks and vice-versa.

  12. ok... don't want to rub anyone up the wrong way here. i used a doctor merely as an example. I would find it a little insulting if a person who called me up to do a job for them tell me how to do my job, obviously thinking i am incapable of preforming this task. On the other hand, if the gentleman said i was once a tree worker/horticulture back ground, with many years my his belt and was in retyerment.... respect crack on!!!! hope you can see my point?
  13. may be a little presumtious, but i'm titled to my apinion and i'm talking from experaince. But ive had anough of people like this:sneaky2: would you walk into a doctors and tell them i'll take my own injection thank you very much bacause it will hert less if i do it, or mr doctor i know whats wrong with me can you just give me this medication please.
  14. That's why our industry will never progress because joe public think we are just dum tree cutters and don't respect what we do, thats why they think they can tell us how to do our job:sneaky2: sad but true.
