  3. ive droped one of these from about 30ft up a tree and it still works fine:thumbup1:
  4. not 100% but think the bill at service metals was £650 or £750 cash for the alloy planking, some alloy angle and the capping that tidies all the cuts up and a 8X4 sheet of alloy treat plate which i never used.

My fist truck was with alloy planking and it probably cost best part of a grand with all materials, tools etc to do, ive just sold tuck to a fellow arbtalker but have done my new truck in marine ply painted black till i can afford to redo it in alloy. its cost me about £150 to do in wood and took a 1 1/2 days to do inc painting. heres a pic of old truck and new

  8. To be honest when someone gets me in to climb its cause they either cant do it there selves or would refer to pay someone else for there expertise and save them the fatigue etc and normaly come with a couple of grands with of kit and saws etc
  9. Yeah both are interchangeable we have both models and use the same reel to make the chain

Hi whats the going rate for a good freelance climber? only asking as ive been asking for £100 a day for every day jobs providing all kit, ppe, rigging kit & saws etc or £150 if its big awkward dismantle taking all day. But had a groundsman with CS38 offering me his services for £120! a day and was just wondering if im shooting myself in my foot? i normally pay between £50-75 for a groundsman with tickets. Also don't think it shouldn't matter but all kit is loler'd and im registered self employed, insured etc etc Many Thanks simon

  17. when i did mine all i was shown was a timber hitch, half hitch running bowline and a munter hitch but never used it.
  18. as above hollow ground is how there ment to be done, but i get my timberwolf blades ground to about 42 degrees on a surface grinder for free and haven't had any problems in past few years.
  19. try your local Fasteners and Fixings shop they will have something of if not should be able to order something for you.
  20. ive just been on phone with them and they quoted me £1560 thats book and upgraded listing on there website.
  21. could be some crap in the carb had a 020 do similar and had the carb removed and cleaned with a ultrasonic cleaner and that fixed it.
