  2. that’s the connector I use.. it’s got 1/2 quick release hydraulic connectors on it so can be used for various other things aswell as and not just log splitter.... the one on my fuelwood splitta is same as otter avant attachments and hoses bolt onto it. But that’s because my processor has 1 3/4 hose so needed to used a reducer to make it fit.
  3. What power pack have you got? I’m after something that’s does 35-45lt a min at 150-200bar. Got a Jcb beaver power pack but that’s a bit slow
  4. I allready had the splitter when I brought my avant so just made it work... I did enquire abouts avants firewood processor but it’s overpriced for what it is, and a pretty low spec processor.... avants firewood processor is a Jappa 300 painted green. Fuelwood are the uk dealer for Jappa so that’s another option and there pretty helpful with there splitters. They sell all sorts and will point you in right direction
  5. That’s the oil flow at what rps for the 635/630
  6. The avant will run the splitter fine... I run my small splitter on pump 1 just about tickover... if I get a stubborn bit of wood I turn revs up and bit to increase hydraulic oil pressure.
  7. I’ve also run a old splitta 360 from fuelwood from my avant... can do a ibc cage worth of logs in a few mins
  8. I’ve got a cheap 3 point linkage one from eBay and the 3 point linkage adapter from avant on mine... will split pretty much anything. Splitter cost about £500 and 3 point attachment was about £300 ish
  9. Thanks, I’ve tried joining that group but taking ages for an admin to approve me lol
  10. Hi, I’m looking to buy my 1st processor and looking for some recommendations... Currently we use a hydraulic power pack and a 10ton splitter on a makeshifts bench. but struggling to find enough time to get everything split as it’s a long slow process. Most of our firewood is arb waste and was originally looking at a Fuelwood Splitta 360/400 but as it would tie up my loader to run it so I’ve started looking at road tow processors as 50-70% of my logs would probably go through it. So far I’ve been looking at a Farmi WP36 road tow but is there any other processors that are worth looking at? I don’t have a tractor so most pto ones are ruled out but i do have an avant 640 that I could run hydraulics from if needed, but would prefer something with a engine to make life easer. Also if anyone knows of any decent 2nd hand ones for sale let me know please. As there doesn’t seem to be a lot about at the mo
  11. Cheers pete... Actually Rod & Dan from global sorted me with a chipper within 1 hour of this happening so cant fault Global at all they've gone out there way to keep up running...
  12. Also it’s had the flywheel changed in the past under warranty due to an unrelated performance issue... so I’ve already had my fair share of issues with machine in past but not to this extent
  13. No blades and bearings are intact and genuine and sharp... looks like part of the flywheel that’s welded has decided to part ways with the chipper
  14. Hi, has anyone ever had a chipper decide it want to rip itself in to pieces for no obviously reason? My chipper went with a huge bang today and ripped a massive hole in the side of machine throwing a large chunk of metal towards an operator! leaving a mangled mess where the bell housing is. The machine is approximately 2 1/2 years old and was only chipping smallish diameter brash and it just exploded without warning. Machine is currently at my dealer waiting for manufacture to have a look at it, but what to know where I stand as machine looks totally trashed. Machine should still be under warranty, but has anyone ever had something similar happen and what was the outcome with warranty? Regards Simon

  16. Hi fellow Land rover owners... i'm debating selling my 110 hi cap 3.5t tipper as not really using it enough to justify keeping it as also got a transit and another tow vehicle... whats a sensible price to ask for it? as unsure of its value and prices seem all over the place on ebay. its got about 160k ish miles and is a 2005 td5 with a custom built alloy tipping body with steel frame with barn doors and tool box etc. The motors in good overall condition and hasn't wanted for nothing and always been serviced/repaired when needed. Cheers Simon
  17. To be honest I’ve not done anything with it!!! Just been putting up with it the way it is! LOL
  18. Cheers for replies, for the sake of £100 il try the britpart ones
  19. Mines a 3500kg 110 hi cap... it’s an ex environment agency one
  20. If you could that would be great to compare... Here’s one of mine full[emoji51][emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]... the towbar literally drags on the floor!!!!
  21. I would be happy with 1.5tons... Due to mine being so crap all it’s done over the last year or so is carry hand tools and ton bags of crap off jobs when the transits full!
  22. What type of volume of chip can to safely carry on ur defender? Mines pretty dangerous with about 2 cube or about 500kg
  23. Unfortunately defenders don’t have leaf springs as that would be an easy fix[emoji106]
