  1. a good friend of mine is out of work, he lives in nottingham and is willing to travel atleast 2hours fromwhere he lives, if theres something a bit further away he's happy to comply Qualifications : 9 years climbing experience worked in australia for a year worked on the rails for 3 years and has pts card CS Tickets are 30,36,38, chipper ticket ndcc cert in arb and horticulture and first aid ticket this lad is a must if youve got the work for him, he's very hard working and very keen to learn more, ive known him for 10 years and can honestly say he's a good lad if anyone can help out with even part time work or subbie work that would be great his details are Ben jopling 07977 939460 or pm me many thanks phill

  3. i agree, if it aint broke dont fix it, i was taught to tie my own prussik knot and still do, i av tried one of them mechanical one's but couldnt get on with it im not knocking the new stuff, am a gadget freak so i welcome new tecniques

    sorry i avnt got bak to ya, av been really busy.stil avnt purchased anything yet, am waiting to get a look at the workshops near me.

     

    also how much charcoal can you produce as my m8 is looking for someone who can produce on a grand scale- i think he's looking at about 10 ton a week or as much as he can lay his hands on. give us a call 07917 713749

  9. no probs...it works anywhere in the uk, but you do av to pick which reasturant you will be eating at and thats the one you av 2 use i did one last year and it worked fine, they dont do it very often so wen they do i send it to all my m8s

  13. i reckon it should be part of college's courses to make you do time in the woods, a good 3months maybe? i started as a climber and do all the felling on my jobs, i bort an acre of woodland to keep my log pile replenished and found that, out in the wood you can practise some really good felling techniques and lots of issues with leaning trees, when ya in a customers garden you cant make mistakes, that last cut as ya felling has to be perfect a woodmans job is back breaking, i know ive tried it, but i did enjoy being out on my own in the wood and cooked a few sassages on the fire yum yum

  15. started college in 1999 and av been at it ever since, been self employed for the last 5 years, when i first started you had to make ya own prussik knot, when i went self employed i was lucky i have a fella working with me who's been at it 23 years so gained alot of experience for the time saving jobs

  18. my father in law is a silversmith and agreed that he would make my wedding ring, one day he said he would pop round and measure my finger for the rite size.that day i was clearing some hawthorne from a customers garden and forgot my gloves. that night he came round and as u can imagine i didnt realize my hand had swelled up a bit. he measured the finger and of he went. the wedding day came and wot a suprise the ring didnt fit, he wasnt impressed. the rest of the family thort it was quite funny......except for him, he had to redo the whole ring again......lol nevermind

  20. i have rapid hire near me and if u bartar with them they'l hire the grinder out for atleast 60quid or tell the customer to wait and u can buid up ya stumps and spend one saturday doing the grinding, u can make a reasonable wage for the day oh and dont 4get a jewson bag as it can get a bit messy
  21. hey mick, if ya ever need sme grinding done my buddy has a stump grinder, so let me know and build them and earn ya self a drink out of it

  22. try pure will power... you can hire a grinder for about £60 a day round my way and then add ya labour
