  4. it was a bloody nightmare, got cut to peices, really small garden, really tall, just had to put the ladder up and strop around the trunk and the silly woman reckons that it'l come back!!!! she decided that she wanted it reduced to 6ft tall:lol:, i did say that it wont come back , she reckoned it was 30 years old, the saw just wouldnt cut threw, really peed me of to be honest, i wont be doing one again in a hurry

  12. agreed, i do some work for a quarry company in rainham, essex ( sorry felix ) and they tryed telling me they pay every 45 days and i said ' i dont think so ' and left it at that, i got a call the next day that they would do a bank transfer the second the work was complete:thumbup1: some issue over the local tree surgeons having webbed feet and dresing in black:001_tt2:

  14. good lad, ive been walked over loads in the past by being to soft but yep i go back in the evening as well, obviously you have to be diplomatic and not come across as agressive but clear and straight to the point:thumbup1:
  15. payment on the day for me, i wont accept cheques as they have a tendancy to bounce, i arrange with the clients its cash or bank transfer and is stated very clearly on the quote and invoice, as long as they no where they stand from day one, i also have a debt company that chase up my owing customers and that is clearly stated on the quote and invoice as well, so theres no mis-understanding even the lovely clients who make you tea and toast can be a slow payer,you have to be clear and precise with your clients, have the invoice with you on the day so theres none of that problem like customers say can you send me the bill, i say i'l go and get it from the truck.....clear and precise or you just get walked over
  16. i do mate, she's always been really good at drawing but mrs plippy used to be a silversmith and jewellery designer and her grandad is a silversmith and is a lecturer in the trade, so she obviously doesnt get it from me when me and the misses got married he made and designed our wedding rings and the bonus is that the mother in law has her own wedding shop the wedding didnt cost much cos they gave us the rings and the girls dresses for our present:thumbup1:,
  17. my 14 year old daughter wants to do her work experience at my mates tattoo shop local to me, i wasnt that shocked and said maybe you should take some drawings with ya and show him your really interested, she then came down with some drawings she had done (free hand ) but copied from pics of the internet, she does understand that she wont actually get to tattoo someone i was amazed when i saw these though
