finally some good news, got a text this morning saying she's on a flight and will be home 2nite:thumbup: apparently london airports wer only allowing british airways flights to land for the first 24hours :thumbdown:then after that it was a case of first come first served

well the update is that she's now back in bangkok and the airline company jet airways is no longer paying for accomadation, apparently the rep wasnt english speaking...wot a suprise. more annoyingly the news keeps mentioning these poor tv stars that cant get out of the country and only covering the poor people that cant get out of england, wot the **** man...how about the poor english folk that are stuck in a foreign country trying to get home with no help from the airline companies and im sure the insurance companies will try and wriggle out of this one, were having to bank transfer funds to pay for her food and accomadation......not happy

BBC News - Icelandic volcanic ash alert grounds UK flights Icelandic volcanic ash alert grounds UK flights my eldest has gone to thailand for 2weeks with her boyfriend and parents and was due back 2moro morning, apparently cos theres been some volcano erupting all flights in and out of london long hall have been cancelled, the good news is that the flight company have put them up for the nite in some expensive hotel in india and she said she even has a swimming pool in the room.. jammy bugger. has anyone else got a long hall flight cancelled due to the same reason?
