  3. so let me guess this rite, its ya first job on ya own and so never had to collect on payments and ya ask our advice and someone calls ya a d/h ? for asking a simple question...hmmm i think it was a sensible question seeing as its ya first job and new to the bizniz side of things... good luck to ya fella and hope all goes well
  4. plippy

    Arb show

who won the harness from arbinsure??
  5. hmmm, im sure this is a thread asking for advice but unfortunatly ya gona get d/h answers, ive never charged a customer for collecting on payment unless its really over due and they are becoming a pain in the arse wit exscuses, but like ya said if they are offering transfers then do that so it doesnt consume ya personal time, transfers only take a few days to clear rather than a dodgy bending cheque
  6. IMO face to face is better and find any jobs you get threw bizniz companys you have to wait 30 days for payent anyway so unless you need it now push for the transfer or be patient and be remembered by the client as a very understanding company
  7. we appreciate the effort mate:thumbup1:, we didnt get there til 4pm so must of missed ya, hopefully catch up for a beer at another show, i cant make justin's at kingswood cos im already booked too go to brussels with mrs plippy:thumbdown:
  8. rich, mark bolam and i camped over and i enjoyed the weekend, bit of a trek up there, mark bolam drove there and back, cheers for that mark. got to meet some arbtalkers for the first time and see soe splicing by hadley (old snake), was very impress with the splicing, managed to get back to watch the footy in time but i was more impressed with the F1 thn footy. Met paul from the AA, very friendly fella and hope that paul can make a change to the way the AA deal with us small timers, i think he has his work cut out but from the effort that he has put in so far he's making alot of headway. good for you paul:thumbup1:
  9. its 5.44am, well im up and ready to go, looked outside and its pooring down.....gutted.looks like its gona b a wet weekend
  10. i think he means grape smuggler:lol:like them swimming pants
  11. i imagine that folk will be arriving at different times, but look for the beer tent, thats where we'l be most of the day:thumbup:
  12. Star Trek Actor (patrick stewart) and James Corden Have Awkward Bust Up at Awards Show [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIBUWqSTp90&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - James Corden and Patrick Stewart clash at Awards[/ame]
  13. its all true Al, why would i lie:sneaky2:
  14. when i work for mick its £20 a day and if i dont sweeep up properly i get the 441 in the back of the legs all jokes a side, maybe you should consider freelancing, if you expect top wack money you wont find it on the books with a company, look at being self employed. keep chasing though, persistance does pay off.good luck fella
  15. no probs fella, for me personally i couldnt care less wot show it is, for me its just an excuse to meet some fellow arb mates off ere and av a beer, i spend nearly every nite on ere so it would be nice to actually meet folk:thumbup1:
  16. stop ya complaining lee :thumbdown:and get ya arse up their for a beer, its a meet and greet thread not a moaning thread:001_tt2:
  17. mick and mozza wont be coming:lol:
  18. who's going then, you'l spot me and mark bolam, were be the ones wearing our harness's and lids, you may even spot us in your local supermarket - were tree surgeons dont ya know:biggrin:
  19. i have 2 stihl dealers near me, atleast 5-8 miles from my home and not happy with the service they provide, maybe if i complain to stihl about both they would send me a shiny new saw:lol: to be honest i class jonesie as my local dealer which is stupid really considering he's about 50miles away
  20. id agree with john, i managed capel this year and had great weekend meeting up with the lads from arbtalk and of course buying some shiny bits, IMO you'l find that most folk cant attend due to having to work or because the shows start on fridays, maybe if the shows wer extended to a sunday then more could make them. also there are never any down kent way except for jonesies's and thats only cos justin took the on the responsibility of arranging it:thumbup1:
  21. thats not a bad price, im sure justin could do ya a better price at one of the shows:thumbup:
  22. some folk are just too lazy to comment
  23. im sure fr jones and clark may throw summut at ya for a small advert:thumbup1:, maybe contact the arb shows for their show dates to advertise them on the month they are holding a show:thumbup:
