  1. bit hard when your half way through cutting a branch and the one your standing on snaps
  2. looks like a good push would get that out. failing that cut through the base and winch the butt back away from the tree its hung up in simples
  3. 1st pic was cutting and chucking with silky, 2nd and 3rd pic is a big silky cut a full stroke down the blade ended up with 5 stitches holding a flap of skin folded over. last pic is the first cut i ever got dismantling a small multi stem conifer, i was anchored into 1 stem and went up one of the other stems was stood on a branch cutting and branch snaped that i was stood on, i fell and landed on my still running saw after going through a few other branches first.
  4. a 20/30% reduction and deadwood and ivy removed jobs a good'un this is a old ash pollard i reduced few months ago now they were thinking of having it down i talked them into reduction instead http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/20060-bat-heaven.html

  8. least they have taken the brash away more than most people would have done all cleared up bar some saw dust be interesting to see them get around a spread out oak though
  9. big tree and big big lumps coming off it i can dream of the day i get asked to take down one as big as that
  10. i saw the gopro device today and i have to say i liked what i saw esspecially since its all built in no wires and very compact and well made, only down side with it was the no screen and no remote control, i have also seen Vio are bringing out a new Vio Pov in HD soon, £500 though
  11. haha im only 20 that pictures 6yrs before my time
  12. keep em coming i love seeing old pictures of how things were done back in the days well before i was born
  13. had a easy day today, working for ian flatters again 2x small lime re pollards and crown raise and thin the bottom of a little ash.
  14. best all round saw ive ever used, has plenty of power for a 24inch bar and cuts like butter with a 15inch, only bad thing with the new ones is the vibrations seem to loosen the 2 bolts holding the chainbrake handle on other than that you will never go back to another saw from a 372
  15. always wanted to no the ins and outs of doing this. i no my mate does it with there 20meter truck mounted one. i take it its frowned on, but how safe is it anchoring off a platform?
  16. yer do quite a bit for him, i get him on most of my jobs aswell. forgot i took a pic on my phone.
  17. i was going to take it then, i remembered when i went to quote for it and thought its not worth it, got there and wished i had took it but there we are lol. not my landrover but i dont like it i prefer transits
  18. cause that was the smallest bar i have for my 3120. my 372 chainbreak handle desided to fall off keeps doing this vibrating the bolts out so couldnt use that for obvious reasons.
  19. blackborough end just outside kings lynn, nice firewood all got left onsite so none for me
  20. thought this would be a nice quick and easy friday job, should have been if the wind direction had played ball which it didnt not to mention all the metal work in the tree, every main stem had about 4 hinges with 8 screws in each hinge, bits of chain grown into them, bolts all way through the stems not to mention all the nails. still least i didnt hit anything with the 36" bar at for the last cuts
  21. that bungee jump that snaps god nos how people havent died in them clips.
  22. job was in north walsham, platform was from easton counties access hire.
